the 50cal is such an under used weapon, its far too powerful to not be used

I rarely use it because it doesn't do what it is supposed to do: go consistently through thin surfaces like aluminum. You see that around 3:00. Those bullets should always go straight through a van or a car, but it is not the case.

They spawn in a line like that but I use the "toggle AI" option in the command menu to make them stay in place

You need to bind the console command to some button and then from there AI -> Toggle AI
