I usually do one track for each guitar in the song. I've noticed if I double track, it makes it sound more messy since I'm recording over the original track which already has guitar in it.
@@ricktold ahh okay! Covering their songs myself and I double track mine but can notice what you are noticing where it sounds a little messy. Do you do like rhythm guitar in one ear and lead in the other?
@@ethanguitarcovers Yeah I like to pan each guitar partially to one side. I usually add a ~25-35% pan on each one, although I'm definitely far from a mixing expert.
