OMG! I would have loved a twenty minute version also! The group did a phenomenal job of creating music that complemented the movie. This video is one of my favorites. The excitement and the drama of the song/movie are a perfect fit for Freddie's stage persona. He looks absolutely invincible here! They all do! And gorgeous too! (superficial understatement) One of my favorite moments is when Christopher Lambert and Freddie clash on stage - sword to mic stand. Love, love, love it! Thank you, Hap! Brian's solo if I remember well didn't appear in the movie. Freddie wrote the lyrics to emphaze the power that these immortals could feel, so it's more about how the bad ones react against the mortals. The actor is French, Christophe Lambert, and played Mac Leod in the movie. We could see him too in the first episodes of the serie. His other international role is "Tarzan" in Greystoke. I have a weakness for Sean Connery, a first class actor.

This song is really a pain to sing. You have to sing a lot of high notes with a lot of power. It is not so much that it is high, it is the power that is required. Freddie wrote Princes Of The Universe and Brian wrote Gimme The Prize, the two songs do have some similarities. I don't know if you realized it or not, but Brian was not playing his red special. He was to fearful that the red special might be damaged during filming. Instead he used his flying V, you rarely see other guitars around Brian. Princes Of The Universe is one of my favorite Queen rock songs, another favorite is It's Late. Generally this song is just very upbeat and uplifting.

Highlander! Ah, such fond memories of being a teenager. The movie actually didn’t do very well in the theaters, but became a cult classic on video. I can’t imagine it without the tracks by Queen. It would be like cutting off someone’s head😀 Seriously, though, their music really enhances the story. Oh, don’t bother watching the sequels...they ruin the story...
My 2nd fav movie this , its often on ITV 2 Highlander . Its also worth watching for Queens short version of New York , New York in the film . Its a cracking film but the CGI is so dated now , just not as bad as Flash was
