This is super useful and it's rare to see more professional videos going through the entire process like this with TH-cam video chapters and all that. Also I love how your cat is looking at you like "who is he talking to" haha
I wouldn't exactly call it professional video. I got some other magic lantern video ideas that I could possibly do as well. I picked up a couple 8mm film lenses that are tiny and work with the crop modes in Magic Lantern and a D Mount to EOSM adapter. I did a bunch of test footage but I can't color grade worth a hill of beans. It is interesting that they can be adapted and had for dirt cheap since the image size they project is incredibly small.
I probably won't do the dual iso thing since it can create dots in the final image. It also doesn't work with focus peaking on my external monitor because of the lines it creates on the image. I'll just stick with dark frame subtraction.
Thank you for the awsome video, can you direct me to where to find the ML files for the M50 mkii? every site I ask says is not available yet for it, just for the EOS "M", thx
@@Petars24 ya D mount is what was used for 8mm film cameras. They can normally be had for cheap and give an old school grimy low fi look at least with the Wollensak lenses I use.

Very nice thank you! What about the Dual Iso feature? Can we also go for that one?
I haven't messed around with dual iso on the Canon EOSM to any extent.
I might be able to check out the dual iso to see if it helps any. Possibly ISO 100 and 400
@@NepticFathers yes that's the one I would also go for but for testing try even 100/800 and without plus with the dark frame substraction 🔥
Apparently there are frequently weird issues with dual iso. This channel shows some of the issues: m.th-cam.com/video/w7-8qVdd8Uk/w-d-xo.html

The M50 MKii doesn't have magic lantern because the proprietary software from Canon is different on that camera than on the regular EOSM.
Thank you.
Sure. I have a video coming in a few days about ML and 8mm D mount lenses if you are interested. It will be up Oct 27th (tomorrow).
@@NepticFathers I never heard of D mount lenses so I will keep an eye out for it.
