Wouldn't even be surprised if the kid got a name change as well.

@The Bird idk i mean I'm not exactly rich and at one point I was poor yet I still managed to not only find friends who are still with me to this day and I did eventually find that special someone only to lose her due to an illness but I at least know that if I were to suddenly become insanely rich they wouldn't take advantage of that while the ones crawling back I know are only after my money. Money is a dangerous weapon and having too much of it not only will change you but make you think the ones surrounding you actually care for you but in reality they don't. This kid could have everything given to him but finding true sincerity and generosity from someone other then his parents is going to be a difficult task for him.

Soil erosion and nutrient depletion, fertilizers and pesticides, deforestation to create new fields, and that we are pretty dependent on GMOs as well as fertilizers and pesticides due to a lack of suitable farmland or enough farmers in general to grow enough to meet the ever growing need without them. However, proving they actually cause cancer or don’t cause cancer in humans hasn’t been investigated. Instead, they ask people with cancer and not cancer what their diet is like.
(They are definitely carcinogens in lab mice and rats that have been bred to get cancer if you look at them funny, but so is saccharine and that’s absolutely not carcinogenic in humans as we lack the genes that trigger it)

The obsession with diets, huge cars, huge houses, lack of interest in ecology, guns, everything must be a spectacle (tv shows, Broadway, music industry with half naked women).. you say you are a free country where everyone is treated equally, but those private clubs, uni sororities and fraternities, HOAs, getting jobs because of knowing someone in management ("networking"), it's contradictory. But I think you are mostly good and kind people.

Those are “business meetings.” And if a candidate you want to influence is running for re-election, throw a few dollars to their campaign to convince them that they are the good guys. And finally, if they have a charity or a cause they are passionate about, well, these lobbyists might be willing to write a check to ensure your pet projects get funded.

I mean I'm sure there are people out there who have to eat processed meat every day but it would be more interesting to hear about the statistics for slightly more likely consumption. Of course another part of the reason people eat too much processed meat is that non-processed meat and fresh veggies/fruit are often both more expensive, slightly more time intensive/harder to prepare well, and less available for people who have to eat out due to constraints of their job such as not having a fridge at work or even a place to put a packed lunch (more a problem for low wage workers than your average office job).

It's terrible and shouldn't go in any food ever, but in North America it's commonly used as a curing agent because it's cheap. It's also used as an industrial cleaning agent, so... y'know.

It's like salt. Our body needs it. It makes food taste better. But too much and you posion yourself.
Everything in moderation. People often tend to forget that cause many people now a days have this go hard or go home mentality. It's like all or nothing. Because at the end of the day, pig is white meat, its much better for you, barring too much of the fat of course. So you're obviously right, finding a balance with all foods is most important. This reminded me of an earlier video of adam about pregnancy and deformations before the age of 40.
Here he says 20% because it sounds *much bigger* and scaryer that the real number.
For example: You are 50% more likely to get cancer if you eat toast. but if your chances were 1% whithout toast, that means that your chances increased only to 1.5%
Saying 50% more likely is more scary and impactfull than 1.5%
And the problem with that is the fact that the audience now doesn't know what the real number was.
This is the second video I see do the same thing about the same topic.

While yeah, the lifetime risk of colon cancer is 5%, raised to 6% by eating processed meat, what about the 800 studies that showed eating 50 grams of processed meat (1 hot dog or 4 bacon strips) a day raise the risk of colorectal cancer to 18%? Or Colleen Doyle’s (American Cancer society managing director of nutrition, RD and MS) statement of ‘we should be limiting red and processed meat to help reduce colon cancer risk, and possibly the risk of other cancers. The occasional hot dog or hamburger is okay.’ ? What about those stats?

Exactly. We all know what food is good and what is bad. If your diet consists of red meat, ice cream and soda bad things will happen. Bacon is no difference.

Spent a week "eating clean" are so many fruits I felt myself going into a diabetic coma from the increased sugar. I eat sugar (hard to avoid something that occurs naturally), but even natural sugars are murder on your body.
The let will already be everything in moderation.

    • @caseysivard4070
      @caseysivard4070 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@Chonghan L hence why I said everything in moderation. Also, I didn't just eat only fruits all day. I'm saying bacon being unhealthy doesn't make anything else taken out of moderation healthy. His carcinogen point was made with the disclaimer that it was when it was eaten everyday. I don't know anyone who eats precessed meats everyday let alone one specific type.
