Get some DuPont brake pad paste from Mercedes, apply it to the back of the pad , it works really well for quieting the squealing noise of your vehicles brakes.
Yo nd love the content been subed for a few years mabee a ss kitchen strainer for blocking the ice i doubt it would cause any restriction as there like 4 or 6 inches like i have and isnt that fine of mesh just an idea you may already have one 👍

Screen may restrict water flow and or cause pump cavitation. You want to put bars in front of inlet almost like a jail cell.
