Hi RC, Thank you for the comment and request. Be sure and bookmark our Expobar Brewtus Support Wiki here: wiki.wholelattelove.com/Expobar_Brewtus_IV Tons of Brewtus maintenance videos there as well as written maintenance materials including diagrams ans manuals.
What about the rest of it, mine is leaking from the base of it (towards where it meets the machine)? I assume I need to replace and oring somewhere in there as well.
Good "How to" vid ... easy to see how this would be difficult without having done it under some expert's guidance. And appropriate prompting from Mark =D
Hi Bert, Thanks for the comment. We try to be as thorough as possible in the how to videos! I try to be "average guy" clarifying points that might not be totally understood for people who don't do this everyday. Brian knows his stuff. Been working on these and commercial espresso machines for more than a decade! Marc
Great ''how to'' video... how do one go about getting the valve cap/pad removed if it doesn't come out with the valve rod... it seems stuck and water thus not flowing... got stuck during descaling operation
Hi p, Thanks for the request. We are hard at work creating more DIY content. I don't have a video for that yet, but should have one soon. Here's a link to our support page for the Appartamento. When we do a video on servicing steam wands we'll put it here so do check back.
@@Wholelattelovepage I have an ECM with joysticks that sometimes leak. I suspect the cause is scale, but was hoping to see a teardown of the style before I tackle it. I always find your videos very helpful! Thanks
Hello, I have this model and have steam from my steam wand, but after around 10 seconds water flows out the whole time I have the valve open to the point where it would fill the milk jug. Would taking apart the tap, etc and inspecting the seals fix my particular issue? Thanks.
Hi DD, Don't think it's an issue with tap. Sounds like there's too much water in the boiler. As steam comes off the top of the boiler the only way you could transition from steam to hot water from the steam wand is if the boiler is overfilling.
@@Wholelattelovepage thank you. Is there a way to adjust this? I did take apart the machine and have recently descaled it too. I noticed a large rod sticking up quite far above the steam boiler, next to the pressure release. Can’t seem to find anything about this subject. Great video on testing the electronics btw. Very informative
@@daviddrabble8453 That rod is most likely the fill level probe. If sticking up a lot that's why your steam boiler is overfilling! Here's a link to video with discussion of the fill level probe: th-cam.com/video/UIiLeRdVWAU/w-d-xo.html It's part of a much longer video which covers the electronics systems of the Brewtus. Push that probe back down. There's a nut surrounding the probe. If the probe does not push down easily loosen the nut surrounding the probe. Once you get the probe pushed back down tighten the nut so the probe is held in position. Marc
I have an Expobar office lever plus and there is no water coming out of the hot water wand at all. I followed the instructions in this video and still nothing. Any additional repair videos?
Hi Molly, Thanks for the question. Here's a link to our support wiki for the Lever Plus and section dealing with no hot water flow: wiki.wholelattelove.com/Expobar_Office_Lever_Plus/troubleshooting#There_is_no_water_coming_out_when_I_open_the_water_valve You should find some troubleshooting info to help you there. If the machine is heating sufficiently and the vacuum relief valve on the boiler is closing when the machine heats up pretty much the only thing that can prevent water flow is a blockage somewhere between the boiler and the water outlet.
Thanks for the video. My steam wand drips water sometimes. Not much, maybe 15-20ml. It will do this if it has been sitting idle, but on, for a period of time. Is this normal?
Hi DS, Thanks for the question. For very specific parts it's best to contact our tech support via email, online chat or phone: www.wholelattelove.com/pages/contact-us

What size are the orings
I have the same question! Can't figure it out from anywhere. My current guess is they are Viton 02025, but it's just a guess.
Can you show similar for joystick valves?
Hi Dan, What make/model machine? Don't think Expobar made a machine with joystick operated valves.
