With Iron condors, you'll get the MAX profit when you let them expire, but its always safer to close the position (for a portion of the profit maybe 30-50%) buying back in at a cheaper price and keeping the difference in the credit received minus the premium paid to close.
So if I trade the s&p 500 credit spreads using iron condors, which expire Monday, Wednesday and Friday, do I need to choose an expiration date on the day within that week or choose like ten or more days out? I have been choosing the expiration date within the same week and that could be why I'm not seeing the $1000 or $2000 a week like other people in my class. Thanks for any tips you may have.
theres a couple of ways you can try it. You can Do the spreads with a further exp. date with larger premiums, anticipate strong movement and buy/exit the position when it moves in your favor and try that way. Or do the closer weekly options (2 days out) and use those exp dates. You may see more return with more contracts also

Condors have the same type of options Calls or Puts. Iron condor has both calls and puts. Thats where i said in video the Iron in the name comes from, having both calls and puts.
@@CryptoMafia Call Debit spreads, you pay to open a position anticipating a bullsih move up in stock price. Put Credit Spread, you Receive Credit to open the position and anticipate the stock moving up (Bullish) or at least closing above the option you Sell (Neutral).

Do you close the option before expiring time at 3pm on fridays? Or do you let the iron condor expire on its own. Which one gets you max profit?

A call debit spreads is bullish, put debit spread is bearish
