The fact that the chainsaw isnt animated in the refresh when it has a sweet new look feels criminal, I really hope it gets the animation back from so long ago
My opinion: if you're gonna change the standard characters, change all the characters. The difference in style between old and new is massive, and I personally think they don't mesh well.
The old animations popping into new being in place bothers me for one main reason - custom units won't be shown, and some enemies will (for example) be a thief that turns into something else when they enter their fresh look because you replaced the thief but not old animations. Hope that made sense.
I would love to see them add the new designs to the cutscenes and up date the boss designs but that can wait I just hope it’s fluid and not janky overall I am super excited
We need new levels. Hopefully a future DLC with new levels/bosses/characters/weapons. Always loved castle crashers but it’s very limited by content in terms of levels. I like the idea of workshop levels, but built in levels with unlocks and stuff give you incentive and I’m hoping for that in the future to increase the replayability factor (like how beating final boss with different characters unlocks other characters, this increases incentive to play again)
6:56 In this minigame they seem to have removed the sad meter when playing in co-op. If this is an option that can be activated or deactivated in the full version, it will be more fun to play in this mode, so you don't have to rush to get the potion before the meter fills up.
I played this game recently with 3 friends. Me and one of my friends were trying it for the first time and the thing we struggled with the most was the z axis. The distance you have to hit the enemies felt so unforgiving it really made the game feel very bad to me (idk what my friend thought about that). Glad they're tweaking that.
Still waiting for them to release the workshop kit so we can get a headstart on our custom characters. They said they'd release more details the week following that stream, but didn't.

This DLC is Great 🤗💚 BUT! It would be SO AWESOME if we could also change the sprites of the PETS 🐾 and WEAPONS ⚔ 😅✨ Its just one sprite and we would have so MANY more combinations with that 😖😋✨🍀

I just hope you can make the magic colorable, for instance, I like the purple knight for it's looks, but I like red knights magic, but red lightning coming from a purple knight looks kind of weird.
The z-axis ordeal was what stopped me from my goals of completing the game on Insane Mode with all characters. If this truly fixes the bombs magically spawning in the sky or me being teleported into a beefy's hands when I'm more than out of reach, I will definitely be hopping back on to pursue that childhood goal of mine.

That's not what the z axis thing is, that's the y axis and those issues are unrelated to the actual z axis change in any way
