A question please: what modifications to the rules given above need to be made for use with PARROTS? How many perches are to be installed, at what height from the bottom, and by how much is perch hardware allowed to protrude from the kennel? I will be travelling with my two cockatiels (same crate) upon approval of my visa. Whatever specifics you can provide would be helpful -- as would a video specific to birds. Also when looking at sizing, should i consider wingspan the true width of each bird since clearly they need to be able to extend their wings outward to stretch?

You didn't explain how the animal measurements are converted into box size.

But WHY does the City of London Police run it? I'm interested!

I think this would be better if you also showed a prick eared dog being measured, otherwise its a nice video. I would also like you to mention the possibility of using water bottles instead or as well as bowls.

Those pets seem distressed to me. We may get them into an IATA required physically box which we perceive as "comfortable" BUT what we neglect is the emotional part for the pets. U can hear those dogs whimpering in the background, those are signs of great distress - its such a shame the UK doesn't allow us fly our pets in the cabin with us. Its time to allow people fly with their pets in cabin. Other countries are already doing this - these animals deserve better. At least, designate one day of the week for all animal owners to fly on a particular plane per airline - the airlines don't mind, its the silly regulations stopping them. Its time to change these rules!!! I won't be flying my dog as cargo because its just inhumane, I'm flying to Europe to be able to fly out to the states in cabin with my pets, why do I have to still do this in 2017?!

I would prefer to stay in the cargo space with the dog rather than with the pigs in the cabin hahahahaha

IDK man, my dogs all start whimpering every time I leave the house. How exactly do you quantify their distress level? The most humane thing would be to give them some valium to quell their anxiety and let them sleep it off. Unless you're flying somewhere remote like Australia, it should only be a few hours before you're reunited. It's no different than leaving them alone when you go to work.

@@t.n.3819 Never ever do that! The most humane thing to do is to drive if you can avoid caging them on a flight. Last year I travelled with my dog from Europe to JFK. Because of bad weather condition we were trapped mid air for over 3 hours. A 5 hour flight turned into almost 10 hours! My dog was so distressed. Thankfully he was in-cabin with me and I could soothe him myself. I would not recommend drugging them. Once you're up in that flight, your life is all in the hands of fate. Would I really want my pet trapped and waking up all drugged up, disoriented, all alone and trapped in a cage mid-air? I don't think so!

@@ceecee4873 The funny thing is that it doesn't even mention the fact that pets can't enter the UK travelling in the cabin on the gov.uk website, so now my family is stuck between leaving our cat with someone else for a month, while we go see family, or not go to see family abroad after not seeing them since 2019.
