I’m just learning about hobonichi! And it remind me of when I was younger I use to do journaling. I feel a little bit nostalgic. I think I might starting you gave me inspiration. I really like your soothing voice also 😊
Fabulous video - I am thinking about using the Techo next year, particularly for journaling/memory keeping - trying to change things up from prior years. Your style is inspirational.
hi Sarica, your entries are beautiful. I would love to see more flip through videos if you don't mind. You're doing a very nice job documenting your memories. thank you for sharing.. :)
Yay! Thank you for sharing how you use your Hobonichi because I wanted to see the spacing difference between the Hobonichi original and the cousin after the pages are filled. I would love to see another flip through.
I love that comment about how the different categories of washi tape swatches reflect different aspects of your personality. I totallyyyy see it ❤️ always love your chattier videos!! It's so exciting to think how full of memories that notebook will be by the end of the year 😍
I love your flipthrough. I'm thinking of moving from a Leuchtturm1917 to a Hobonichi Techo for bullet journaling. My only concern is the ghosting since the paper is so thin. Do you find that you have a lot of ghosting?
Hi Tia! I have found that there is definitely some ghosting and in certain cases with wet media (fountain pen ink, watercolor) there is also some bleedthrough. If you'd like to see a photo of the back of a page with my favorite pens for journaling, see the end of this blog post I wrote about it: saricastudio.com/blog/2018/3/14/my-favorite-pens-markers-for-journaling I hope that helps!
So organised and such neat and tidy hand writing! So inspiring to see how you use your hobo. Thanks for sharing! I also really love the bear stickers you used on your Jan 1st page.. So in love that I must have them! :) Where did you get them from?
Hi Sarica! This is sooo pretty and neat! Subscribed! 😊 Also, what do glue do you use to stick stuff on the page? It looks so smooth and not even bulky... those "ripped pages" design across pages are just scrap paper right?
What you mean it smears? Like when you are writing? I bought a Journal, not a name brand or anything, paper feels great but ink does not dry, it take a lot of time, more than a day. I use good pens (i think), I leave the journal open so the ink can dry but even that it still smear if I pass my finger after a few hours! I maybe be the paper right?I am thinking on getting a hobonichi this year so I would like to know if they are good, I don't want to go through the same problem with the hobo. Thanks for the video :D
Yes! So the paper is super smooth, which is great because there's hardly any bleedthrough, but with certain inks (like the Pilot Namiki cartridge I had in my Pilot Kakuno pen), it will not dry for hours and it will be VERY hard not to smear (if you're like me, and you like to rest your hand on the page). So I recommend finding pens with fast drying ink. So far my only ink that dries quickly enough is the Pilot Iroshizuku and it's kind of pricey. Definitely something to keep in mind when getting a hobonichi!
Your notebook is so beautiful! I really liked the binder clip stickers. Where did you get the washi tape with the small hands (I don't know what that symbol's called!)?

Thank you so much! I am considering the Cousin for 2019!
You should totally do a supplies video! maybe a washi tape collection vid?
This is absolutely gorgeous and inspirational! I am such a perfectionist, I don't end up doing much. I have to change that.
