You know that line from "The Ride" where Hank Williams asks the stranger hitchhiking, "can you make folks feel what you feel inside?" This entire album leaves most folk, bluegrass, and whatever the fuck "country" is these days, strung out to dry. It's like the whole of Appalachia is crying out in song. I think Ian Noe could confidently tell Hank Williams that he can.
