Is there a way to measure if a solenoid is bad? Do you know maybe if there is certain resistance value on these? Mine reads 30 Ohms, which I think is not that bad considering there should be continuity thorough circuit.
Thank you very much for the information. It was very useful for disassembling my camera. Luckily just cleaning and lubricating the inner part of the solenoid got the camera back to working order (I just hope the repair lasts or else I'll have to buy a new solenoid).
@@HarisEliades I first cleaned the piece well and then applied a small amount of oil to reduce friction. The solution works, but after a week, it is already failing, so I will repeat the procedure considering also using a very fine metal sandpaper (1200 grade). If that doesn't work, I'll have to buy a new solenoid (in my country I haven't found it, and there's no official Pentax service either, so I'll have to buy it abroad).

Thank you! Your video was very helpful!
where can I get the solenoid? I searched on eBay and Aliexpress but didn't find same one as your video.
I just bought one on ebay for around $18
It would've been ideal to see also the soldering of the 2 cables onto the Solenoid, which is the difficult part of the process :)
How to install the af/mf button correctly?
Good work again and thanks for the nice music ;-)
Thank you :)

By lubricating, you mean oil or something else? 🙂

Thank you :)
Don't you have to solder the two cables?????
