7 dollars? That is the lowest score in the history of game shows and that 7 dollars has to win a award for worst big sweep of all time has to go to Jeff of team 3 way to go Jeff!
I remember watching this episode as a 12YO kid when it originally aired on Lifetime some 30 years ago...stuck with me all these years, for obvious reasons. 😆 Nice of David to tell Jeff and Barb that he understood their intended strategy, and his reveal of their grand total was priceless!
Actually, it's not. There's apparently another episode where Team 3 exclusively went for the Shopping List and only got one, ending up with a final total of $5.
If I had only 1:40, I definitely forgo the bonuses and clean out the health/beauty, housewares and baby aisles. Grab an inflatable bonus while I can, then immediately getting it back to the counter. Then hit the frozen turkeys, deli and detergent areas for an easy $500.
If I was team 3, I would've just continued shopping for whatever he could grab and get the shopping list items while grabbing other items, and maybe a bonus as well.
14:50 With such a short amount of Big Sweep time, I'm surprised Jeff didn't begin his sweep by snatching a bonus, followed by 5 pails and a bag of coffee, before going after the shopping list. Even $500 would be a respectable third-place finish. 17:04 Can anybody say fail horn!
Or unless if you're gettin a bonus. That's the only way I would take off running into the market without my cart. After I get my bonus then I gotta go back and get my cart. That's gotta be the worst sweep that I've ever seen.
It is always a HORRIBLE strategy to leave your basket and go for the shopping list items. The shopping list items are fool’s gold in general. It’s always better to just shop, and grab a bonus along the way. My strategy would be Meat items -> grind coffee while grabbing cans of coffee and nesquik -> cheese wedges and salami -> take cart back with bonus in tow -> Detergent and Diapers -> Big jugs of oil -> bag of candy. That’s probably just 2 minutes total too. Easy $1,000

At least this episode had a mannequin Jolly Green Giant bonus; who got more out of it than Barb and Jeff. Actually, Barb would have had better results if she forced that Jolly Green Giant MANNEQUIN to do the shopping!
It’s only if they were going for the shopping list and took all the time to find those items. Otherwise, if he went straight for grabbing items off the shelves, he could have one cart full about $300
It was all Jeff's fault......If I were on Supermarket Sweep and I had only one minute forty seconds, I would run in turbo speed, shop blind grabbing everything I can on the shelves, on every shelf! The announcer would ask if I even know what's in my cart and by the same token, he would be having a hard time narrating the merchandise I've collected; only thing that could stop me is if there's a sandwich bonus make a sandwich for $200? Count me in. Oh, one more thing; if one of those cumbersome cameramen get in my way, he's getting thrown in the cart too! But that's just me!
You received a $25 penalty for each "violation", such as leaving a product on the ground, destroying a product, or running into another player or staff member (that might be more; I never saw the official rules to know all the penalties, just what was announced on the show). This was applied to the grand total at the same time as the groceries. I remember one episode in the 90's where a penalty (guy knocked some products over while trying to take back a bonus) actually cost the game.
I take it Jeff grew up as one of those spoiled brats who never set foot in a grocery store and as a grown up, always had to give someone else money, a list and say, "Hey, since you're going to the market right now can you pick me up some=-----------" It shows here. Just a hunch, don't go by me
Those sweaters that David wears are the epitome of the 90’s 👌
The “getting to know the contestants” part is always so awkward on this show. I love it.
It's because Buzzr edits the majority of it out so they can fit in more commercials.
Blame the host for that!
And Ruprecht still says "that's good, great job!"
Well it's kind of awkward when you're not allowed to say what's really on your mind: "JEFF!!!!! Where is your head at?!"
Jeff is my personal hero. Winning a whopping $7 on SUPERMARKET SWEEP. Who goes to look for the grocery list WITHOUT their cart! Love the bravery!
Imagine if they did win the big sweep with $7
@@rush5rider LOL!! :) :)
It may be 9 months but we'll all remember this moment when Jeff and Barb came to supermarket sweep and leave the show with $7
The parting gifts (i.e. the sweatshirts) were worth more. :P

15:58 that eye roll 🙄🤣
Omg yes!!! I died laughing!!!

Despite the epic fail, it was a hilarious episode!
lowest Total in Supermarket Sweet History!!! 7 Dollars!! Condragulations
Voltaire Hortizuela also the worst team 3 in supermarket sweep history!
Wow 7$ lol

$7 or $5 -- either way, how utterly embarrassing!
Some Random Guy oh my goodness.. what episode is that? Is it available online? Please advise, thank you
Wow $7 LMAO 😂
Conglaturation Jeff! You succeeded in giving us the worst Big Sweep run of all time! Enjoy that 7 bucks!
I hope they didn't spend it all in one place.
Only the winners get their money. All these guys would've gotten were consolation prizes and their sweatshirts.
Ironically, those sweaters are worth more than $7, so they got a consolation prize that was worth more than what they earned.
Obviously, one of Jeff's relatives wrote that message on the register!
One of Jeff's relatives spelled that message obviously.
He'd bn walking home😲😲
NEVER, EVER EVER ALLOW JEFF IN A GROCERY STORE AGAIN!
DAT EYE ROLL
NEVER 👏🏼 LEAVE 👏🏼 YOUR 👏🏼 CART 👏🏼 BEHIND 👏🏼

First time where one team beat the other two teams combined...
NightHawk12to81 true lmao
🤣
16:29 LOL Ronald McDonald on a magazine cover!
Imagine if they won, and completely--and I mean *completely* blew the Bonus Sweep!
If I was team 3, I would've just continued shopping for whatever he could grab and get the shopping list items while grabbing other items, and maybe a bonus as well.
I can't believe he ran around all that time. After he couldn't find the 1st item he should've gotten his cart and started shopping. $7 total!! 😳

$7.00... wow!! The most intelligent and strategic move ever.....or was it?!! 😜😂🤪
Your best strategy is: 1) Get a bonus 2) grind some coffee 3) Get the shopping list. Then if you have time, get groceries.
G Sici I agree.. and also don’t forget the ham, Turkey and beef that cost more than $25

Running without your cart is NEVER a good strategy

does anyone know what the name of the girl is at 25 seconds
You have got to be kidding me right😂🤣😂🤣$7 ur kidding me😂🤣i would have just walked off why stay😂🤣😂 $7 wow!I would be so upset with my partner😂
I didn't think getting that low of a sweep total was even possible!
It’s only if they were going for the shopping list and took all the time to find those items. Otherwise, if he went straight for grabbing items off the shelves, he could have one cart full about $300

I loved their excitement. Imagine if they had won the $5000.
Hey, at least it was a positive grocery total. I remember an episode with a negative grocery total along with about $700 in bonuses.
How did they get a negative total?
You received a $25 penalty for each "violation", such as leaving a product on the ground, destroying a product, or running into another player or staff member (that might be more; I never saw the official rules to know all the penalties, just what was announced on the show). @@wschmrdr i think hitting a cameraman and destroying an end-of-aisle display (as happened once) are each $100 penalties.
@@misslc7864 Well he was at the Candy Corner, maybe he got penalized for dropping candy on the ground.
I'll be pissed what the heck is he doing
I don’t remember some of these foods or items.
Have Kristen and Kristi appeared on the Sweep Of Champions?
did you get yesterdays episodes and second episode last friday?
Team two won by a margin of fifty-three dollars.
How can Jeff show himself during the credits?
Apparently, he had to be talked back into it....heavily.
Jeff took too long smh
I would rather get the bonus prize instead of the shopping list as what the host ordered.
Jeff was spending too much time on grocery list items, he will never win!!
I take it Jeff grew up as one of those spoiled brats who never set foot in a grocery store and as a grown up, always had to give someone else money, a list and say, "Hey, since you're going to the market right now can you pick me up some=-----------" It shows here. Just a hunch, don't go by me
Ok boomer
The moral of the story
Don't waste your time trying to get just the shopping list
Shop smart, but shop fast, too
Well, if Jeff had focused more on his shopping CART, he could have gotten more money!
Did he ever use one of the shopping carts?
Jeff is too much! I wouldn't have let him get the mail let alone run the big sweep!
Jeff was a horrible shopping partner for Barb
Yea she shoulda ran the sweep. I couldn't believe he kept running around after he couldn't find the 1st item. I feel embarrassed for them
He should have just stayed home. 7 dollars. How embarrassing
I thought barb was Jeff's mother 👩🤔
Apparently, this isn't the lowest sweep total. On another episode, a team amassed $5 in groceries.
I've been looking for it but no such luck. According to TVTropes, it happened eerily similar to this except the team had the base time of 1:30.
I guess it was "grocery", not "groceries" -- one shopping list item! 😺 LOL
Oh wow.. please advise if you manage to find it. Thank you!!
Who was on that one?
I came from *Game Show Garbage.*
7$ hahahaha
Just back off Jeff & Barb,James & Rick are 5 trillion times better than you!
Jeff was pathetic
