Excellent run. I'm always amazed when I see these speedruns. I'm playing the remake right now and I'm at about 6 hours in and not even close to finished... Then again, I AM going for 100% but even then... The original took me like 25 hours, any% running it. I salute you and everyone else that speedruns this game. It is THE BEST indie game ever made.
Fantastic run, and the routing was stellar! This run deserves way more attention. I remember back in 2009 I beat it without saving and was very confused when it told me my clear time was 00:00:00 (took me about 5 hours to SS it, so nowhere near as optimized as you did it). I was very surprised that you skipped the Soul Weight puzzle for the mace, but in watching the whole run, I guess you only need the whip on the Mother fight, and I guess she just takes a certain number of hits, not necessarily a specific amount of damage in her last phase.

hopefully you come back to this and fuck up the route even more!

It's a common thing to say, but I mean, obviously speedrunners have already played the game and know all the puzzle solutions etc
