      Her IQ is obviously ❤ high. However, isn't it wonderful that she is using her stardom to help others. Her life isn't just about her but about needed change in our culture that will benefit everyone. ❤

    • @jupitereye4322
      @jupitereye4322 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Considering her IQ, she isn't making much sense. What does she mean by "there has been no opportunities for women"? Women chose their destiny as much as men. And even if they had done all they want, the fashion is primarily driven by women, not men. The exaggerated aesthetics come more as a competitive aspect coming from women, rather than men demanding this on them. Right now I have a daughter in school, and while boys are playing games, running, doing stuff, girls are 99 time out of 100 about drama between people, who wears what, who said what about someone... this is not a product of men, this is women's nature it seems. What is actually becoming very evident is that it is mostly women who will complain about the world, differences between people, and so she is doing the same here. She talks about being sexualized, but she herself has worked in the industry exploiting her look and presenting herself as an attractive woman, or rather allowed the director to do this, for money of course. Lets not kid ourselves, she is a good actress and I have huge respect for her acting abilities, but she rose up with huge support coming from fans who saw her are an attractive, sharp woman.

      men see women as segual objects just like women see men as financial objects. the only difference is men are mature enough to understand and accept this reality.

    I deeply admire her. She's intelligent, very funny, compassionate, talented, beautiful, good hearted, just gorgeous. But still, she's wrong here: The supposed pay gap is mostly imaginative. Women with equal qualification and experience earn the same as men. They're in a disadvantage because they give birth and grow the children by that, so to say, losing years as work experience, but that is it. I work as a teacher. All (!) my female collegues earn a lot more than me for exactly the same work! Why? Because I've chosen to work as a freelancer for decades and raising my son and by that "losing" time as a teacher. If I were a woman that would be counted as gender pay gap. For I'm a man it's seen as the exception to the rule. Well, we are four men in my school only who earn far less than the women - and men who hadn't chosen a way as we did.
    That being said: Selma Hayek is just wonderful!

    And the reason is...being physically attractive counts a lot more for a woman than for a man. That is Salma's luck: there are thousands of actresses like her, but she exploited her attractiveness and got to the top. So please stop the nonsense, it's just too funny reading comments from women thanking you, when you have enjoyed the benefit of this "injustice" of the world valueing physical beauty more than talent.

    She's wrong. When women aren't married/mothers & have the same education, putting in the same hours, often times we make more than men. They compare ALL women's pay to ALL men's pay, which is "very ignorant" bc we work in very different industries, we work wildly different amounts of hours due to our commitments to our families, we don't have the same experience/education (a masters in a science is different than a humanities, let's not kid ourselves). So, yes. We make less. We DON'T HAVE TO, WE CHOOSE TO.

      @@maruska67it’s like you didn’t even read the comment you responded to.
      Original poster is correct. Salma Hayek is talking about the same nonsense about women being underpaid that has been debunked several times.
      Women CHOOSE to be in jobs that pay less, or work less hours than men, when in same profession.
      Mad respect to women for putting family above jobs. I wouldn’t be where I am in my life without my mom’s nurturing (she was a homemaker).
      These deluded feminist do two things wrong -
      (1) bring up non sensical points without knowing how to analyze given data.
      (2) they ignore (and sometimes even put down) the best part of being a woman.

      We choose to? Really? Can you give me some examples of an identical job where both parties make the same money from age 20-49. A job where the woman is given the same opportunity for raises & promotions during that same 20-49 age range.

    • @kshitiz06
      @kshitiz06 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@KarenGBurt Really? You are not aware of this? I mean all you have to do is open the eyes and look around you.
      Examples of women choosing a lower paying job than men - engineering jobs pay more than nursing, but you can look at the data on how many women get a nursing degree vs how many of them go for engineering.
      Example of women in same profession as men but choosing to work less - I am a software engineering. Whatever few women we have working with us, get paid same as us. But men get promoted faster because they are working after office hours and weekends as well. My female colleague, is unavailable after 6:00 PM, as she is busy with her child and husband after that. Her husband (and her male colleagues like me) go home, take a break and again get back to work. So she hasn’t seen as much promotion in her career as male counterparts.
      So that’s one example of women CHOOSING to prioritize other things over their job.

      @@KarenGBurtI worked in research at a German university. It was a technical field, and I had only male colleagues (the only other female in our research group was the secretary). All my colleagues and I earned exactly the same. After some years, I got my daughter and took maternity leave. If I were to return to working in my field of expertise, most likely, I would make less than my former colleagues are earning now. But it is not because I am female, it is because I had this break in my career. I totally understand that. Nota bene: motherhood is a beautiful gift and I am thankful for it. And as I am not lacking provision, I don't mind having less financial opportunities than others who fully dedicated themselves to the career. Thankfully, there is still men out there who take the responsibility for wife and kids on their shoulders and make it possible to be a stay at home mom for their wife.
