Nothing is essential except a pair of shoes. You can use any shorts and tee-shirts you already have. If they are design for sport it’s better. Once you start running you’ll see what you like and don’t like. And then you can adjust. Once again, shoes that help you not to get injured (meaning good sizing, right support and cushioning good enough) will do the job
Humm, what inspired me to run. Exercise! Plus who would not like to get out and be challenged your body. Started running when I was in high school in cross country and track. Overall enjoyed the competition and to get my body moving. I am a engineer, so exercise is a relief for me. I have run multiple 5ks and 10ks. I ran my first 1/2 marathon about 5 years ago. Of course there are injuries like all runners go though. So I limited my running and did strength training and cross training for almost a year. Now I am back to running again. Looking for my next race now. That is my history and how I started running. Well worth the exercise and time to be healthy!😃
Yes, exercise is such a great way to relieve stress. I studied biology and chemistry in college and always needed some kind of movement after hours in the lab. What distance race are you looking to do next?
I have not found a race yet. Was thinking I need to do a 5k and then a 10k this year. Hopefully be able to get at least two races in this year. How about you in your next race?
Several factors inspired me to begin running since way back in the day. One is optical health. Long story short, very sore back of the eyes one time, went for a run and then it's like the pain never existed! This is because of blood circulation to the eyes! Second, I love physical prowess. And it doesn't get much more prowess physically than a good, long run! I love the physical challenge it presents.
Me, running with vest for long run. Also with mountain Porter running with full equipment Hiking adventures bag and giving a weird smile to me. 1 hour later.... Returned back to my village to change from vest to Backpack Hiking full equipment. I forgot, it was back to back long run at the ancient salt trail run 38km 1st long run and 35km 2nd long run.... Lol!! 🤣

Great video Alexandra!
U forgot most important of all - sunscreen.
I’m stuck on the shorts, not comfortable yet with something shorts. Basketball shorts is where I’m at.
Good info but the echo/sound was a bit overwhelming for her voice. Still a thumbs up.
