With around $120k invested in Palantir stocks, any suggestions for additional stocks to diversify across various markets? Looking for a well-rounded portfolio that balances risk aversion with returns meeting yearly inflation concerns.

Prioritize two goals: strategically buy stocks to limit losses and maximize gains, and be prepared to capitalize on market shifts. Consult a financial advisor or professional for personalized guidance.

Ah, Social Security benefits on a $50k salary-so this is how the government tells you they’ve got your back, but only up to a point! 😆 With $332k sitting in your emergency fund, it’s like having a financial superhero cape just waiting to take flight. Time to kickstart that investment journey! 🚀💰 Watch out world, here comes your portfolio!

Hey, I get it-$332k is a solid base! But remember, Social Security’s just a small piece of the pie. If you’re looking to really up your game, I’d recommend chatting with an investment advisor. Yes, the US government has borrowed money from the Social Security trust fund in the past.
The Social Security trust fund collects more in payroll taxes each year than it pays out in benefits. The excess funds are invested in US Treasury bonds, and the interest earned on those bonds is added to the trust fund.
However, the government has sometimes borrowed money from the trust fund to finance other government programs, such as infrastructure projects, defense spending, and other government expenses. This borrowing is accomplished through the sale of special-issue Treasury bonds to the Social Security trust fund.
The government is required to pay back the funds it has borrowed from the Social Security trust fund, with interest. As of now, the US government owes over $2.8 trillion to the Social Security trust fund. The government is required to repay this debt, and failure to do so could potentially jeopardize the stability of the Social Security program in the future.

  • @StopBeingSoldMedia

Social Security benefits play a crucial role in retirement planning for many Americans. The amount you receive is determined by various factors such as your income, birth year, and the age you choose to start taking benefits. For example, if you had a lifetime average salary of $50,000 and started receiving benefits at age 62, you could expect around $1,900 per month. It's important to note that these figures are subject to change and individual circumstances may vary. While Social Security is an essential part of retirement income, it's crucial to save and invest for your future to ensure financial security. So, how are you currently preparing for your retirement? Are you exploring additional investment options beyond Social Security?

The reason many people venture into Trading/Investing (Financial Market), is so that they can get to have a better life while working and even after retirement. The wisest thing that should be on every wise individual's list is to invest in different stream of income; I am earning more this year because I have been investing while working at the same time. I invested through TERESA JENSEN WHITE, same woman that an anchor kept mentioning on CNBC, and made multiple of my start up capital within three months . you have totally missed the point. Your SS money is not and was never meant to be invested. SS buys you insurance so you can have money in your old age.
If you paid for one year of fire insurance for your home, and your home did not burn, would you consider that wasted money. Of course not, your home was insured in case it burned. Money well spent for that year.
SS buys you insurance that you will never run out of money, no matter how you have mismanaged your funds, or how long you lived.

Then I got worse news for you: the median income is actually in the 30ks. It might be 40k now in 2022, but significantly less than half make 50k. But in my state, the median is a round 36k, and I live fairly comfortably at slightly less than that. Still set 10% for 401k.
