There were so many people clowning on Yamamoto saying he ain't built for MLB. But it's been real quiet these last 2 weeks, that's probably why we shouldn't jump to conclusions after a single debut game.
Yamamoto will be sub 3 era in no time. Its not hard to spot his ability, when you have that kind of curve ball on demand and laser accuracy on a moving fastball its lights out. Some teams will catch on mid season, but he's a solid 10-12 game Winner 3-sub 3 era with his current tools.

Its coming back into popularity I think. Problem is, football and Basketball are more action and fast paced, they televise better. There is a much lower overall attention span now and baseball games run 2 hours 20 minutes ++. Pitch clock is helping. That's because they're not interested in the rules where men collide, lose if they touch the ground, or step out of the ring. If I were to become interested in sumo, I'd need to change my existing perceptions and also think there's a need for campaigns and events targeting young people. Personally, I prefer baseball over soccer or basketball.
