Pay rise is not completely depending on the appraisal. As per new agenda for change ( pay scheme) pay rise is only after every 2yrs . Appraisal can be a factor in moving up the pay band. if any practitioner found to be not performing at expected level manager can stop u from going up . Then about salary, if ur annual income is £25000 about 12500 is tax free. U will be taxed for rest of the amount in one year. Ur deduction in salary is ur tax , national insurance and nhs pension.
