  • Check out my new cornrow cap tutorial using a lace front closure: • Cornrow cap wig w/ lac...
    how I do my basic sew in: • full sew in : no leave...
    For you over-opinionated viewers, this is a show and tell on how I used this cap. It has nothing to do with the style or why we used it verses any other technique. The target audience are those who were interested in the corn row cap such as myself, so I did this video. If you don't like it that's fine, stop watching!!!

    Thank you for sharing this cap idea! As I get older,my hair is thinning from medicine,and I am very 'tender headed'. I hate getting my hair braided for my weaves. I think this cap was designed for people like me. Thank you again,and blessings to you!

      Nope I have low/med density hair and full edges! I just cornrow my hair underneath and I can do me a beautiful curly wig that I can remove whenever I want!

    i think it's a nice concept some people don't understand it's for less hassle of braiding our own hair and actually it's also great for people that have hair issues. thank you for the video.👏

    I like the idea of the cap for people that cannot cornrow or can not get the concept of how to thread tracks flat during a sew in. However, I think demonstrating with this huge and abnormal hump was a bad idea.

  • @chazhud
    @chazhud 7 ปีที่แล้ว +18

    For those complaining about the "hump" it is from that huge braid not from the wig cap itself, I'm sure if the hair was flat and the cap was put on top it would be fine but the sew in still looks okay, it just looks more full in the back which majority of people's real hair is like anyway

    It's actually good for people who are balding due to advancing in age or their hair is thinning out and they actually want to do weave. I believe you could use it for crochet braid, I'm not too sure. I would not advise people with healthy hair to use it though....Seriously! !.Thanks for sharing.

    Awesome job, you did great. I think for women that suffer from alopecia, thinning hair bald edges, this great for someone not wanting to take a wig on and off everyday. After the sew in was completed you really couldn't tell the hump. I personally would buy a wig, but for people that want the security of being in place and not moving I get it. I'm not good with sewing a wig down. You did great.👍🏾

  • @sixfigureglowdealer

    • @Tawananomics
      @Tawananomics 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You still need it to hold on to something and it can't be loose hair. It has to be something right that won't shake off or move. So it has to be cornrows. Or people wouldn't bother spending 2-3 hours braiding it if it were that easy.

    I just started doing my own hair and have gravitated to crochet styles as protective styles. I can cornrow but I can't corn row multiple different braid patterns, just straight back and that doesn't work all the time when it comes to styling the hair. Would this be a good one to use if I wanted to try up-do's for my crochet styles? Also, I like a side part so how could I create that with this cap?

  • @victoriabrown6966

    I've thought for the longest everytime I see these caps "why tho?" but it just dawned on me...time. it's quicker or for someone that can't braid. either way I would still rather wear a wig because after all that it looks like a wig. And for people saying price...a wig that length is $20-$30 where I live.

    Question.. can the clips be taken off to be crochet through ur hair and the net

  • @chutosister01
    @chutosister01 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Dont know about this method seems easier to just braid her own hair and then sew in. Thats almost like wearing two wigs at once. No air to the scalp and is def gonna stink!!!

      Less damage to hair because thread can shift back and forth taking your hair out. And this way she can put it on and off.

    What are the benefits of using the cap? Is it a more protective method? I would think the cap might rub the edges, sides and back.

      +Nadine Mitter The only thing I can think of is that the cap is for people that dont know how to cornrow well or at all or people who dont like to commit to certain styles and want to remove and put it back on, or for people who are balding in certain areas or are completely bald and wants a sew in and doesn't want to use glue. Im not sure why people would put this cap over nicely cornrowed healthy hair...

      +qtepiee88 Yeah it seems like it will add too much extra bulk 😜

      I think some people may use this cap because it cuts down time and you don't have to sit and get your hair braided

      Not everyone can have their hair braided. My hair if fine to medium fine in some areas and braiding thinned my hair so much that I haven't had it braided since: and it's been at least 10 yrs. This braided cap would be great for the health of my hair. Also I am finicky and like to change my hair a lot. This would enable me to do so. For those saying why not buy a wig. Well, wigs have to be manipulated anyway to fit one's face and head. You can't just slap them on and go. So if I have the chance to customize such a thing, why not? Don't overthink things too much. It really is just hair. Thanks for sharing this video. I didn't even know they made these. I plan to make some crochet wigs and this will be perfect.

    I deal with what looks like alopecia. My hair loss is a result of the major disease, Sarcoidosis ( commonly now called "The Bernie Mac Disease). It's a horrific disrase. Hard to even explain it. I've loved wigs and hair pieces since I was 18.... I once had a marvelous head of hair. I could go either way. It's devastating to lose ypur hair ( head, lashes, and eyebrows)
    I don't have a choice. Because my hair was so beautiful, I choose to not by cheap and tacky wigs, or pay for messed up doos. So give these people some slack.

    I’m bald do you think the cap would stay on my head since I don’t have anything for it to hold on to

    I've recently seen this cap and other patterns (including ones in a U-shape for leave out) & just stared at it in awe (and temptation to buy one), but resisted the urge. glad I got to see this demonstration of how it works...the outcome tho: "Eh". 😩 🚫🌴

    Wow that is crazy I have never seen a cap like that before this is something ppl can do fast and alone it's also good for learning how to do a sew in but can't braid yet. I think I'll get one for my daughter to practice on she's 12 lol you did a good job on her hair I'm leaving a comment so I just missed the last fifty seconds but i will be watching again are you down south because they get everything fast out there in the beauty supply but In San Francisco I haven't seen that cap anywhere. I see a Walmart receipt on the counter is that where you got it from? And do you think it would be easy or better if you make one ? Not you me lol thanks for the video. Have a good day

    Do you think this cap is worth it? You can just use a regular net cap and see onto the net and avoid the added bumps from the "cornrows". Just curious as to what you think after using it.

      it depends on the person. for tinder headed or non braiders, this is a great option. I love it regardless.
