Norwich Airport on a Saturday

Norwich Airport on a Saturday is probably the quietest day of the week. Just 2 planes today. One in from Ibiza and then Crete afterwards (I think) and one off to Jersey. Luckily the helicopters fill in the gaps. Note to self, check first before going to film incase it is a quiet day.

I love watching Helicopters, and even better flying in them. But they are the most improbable things....the bend in the blades when hovering carrying the entire weight of the aircraft is amazing.. They should snap off to look at them.

I still remember going in the early sixties to what was then RAF Horsham St. Faith on their open day, and watching their English Electric Lightnings take off and then fly vertically upward.
Maybe on a Saturday you could have gone to Tibenham, south of Norwich, where the Norfolk Gliding Club would have been busier - well on a fine day anyway!
