I'm the sort of person who, should I see in the analytics that I've lost a subscriber, would start questioning himself and wondering what he did wrong. Whereas in reality, that person probably added me because of one video of mine that was of interest to him ( a test ride or something ) and after a while he just did a spring clean of his subs list ( as we all do ) and decided that my normal videos were not what he was interested in when he signed up. Yeah. That's me. I'd definitely do that and then lose sleep over it 😂 So that's why I avoid looking at analytics and trends like the plague ! Thanks for the interesting stat though Pete. Hi Glenn ! Unfortunately my GoPro refused to fire up until we stopped and I was able to remove and re-insert the battery. Then it fired up, as I expected. Unfortunately that meant that I didn't record the first half of the ride, which was probably the prettiest part. But fear not. I shall return, ride that road again and film it next time ! But yes. I knew that somebody was bound to post that Andy ! Thanks for not disappointing me ! 😂 I have my test ride lined up for tomorrow. Looking forward to it but struggling to find any twisty roads near enough to the dealership to give it a proper go. I'm not going to learn much riding it in the city or on the motorway. I'll get back on Google Maps later on and see if I can find a wiggly line anywhere in the vicinity. I'm pretty sure that I will like the Guerrilla overall but I think it's likely that the vibes will annoy me, just as they did with the 450 Himalayan. That's the big doubt that I have with this one. Thanks Tim ! That sounds like a real adventure but I'm sure that the Meteor won't let you down. Just bear in mind the age of the battery and maybe change it beforehand, if it's still the OEM one and has done two to three years already. That could save you some hassle far from home. Take care you lot. I shall tell Ruby that she has a German Shepherd as a fan. She'll be delighted because she has a couple of them in her circle of friends here. Yes, I think my battery is on the way out, but has done well, there are times when sadly I haven't ridden much due to quite heavy work commitments, but has kept its charge well ( not connected to a trickle charger, although I know I should) What makes you and this channel so great is your personal approach to your subscribers, and that you spend the time to write back and communicate. @@timbalchin9601 Hi Tim, Ann and Carla, thank you so much for that ! That's how I see it too. I live a pretty solitary existence because probably 90% of the time, it's what I prefer. But I have really enjoyed getting to know so many people via my TH-cam channel and best of all, I've managed to get to know them without even having to leave the house - a real bonus ! 😂 I'm not very good at talking but once I start writing it seems as though I just can't stop and could go on for ages. No idea what that's all about 🤷♂ but I certainly enjoy replying to all comments. I've always enjoyed hearing about what my viewers are up to and when inevitably their lives seem to be more exciting than mine, I can at least experience their adventures vicariously. Interestingly things are starting to progress to the point now where I will be meeting up with viewers in person from time to time and that is probably something I never imagined that I would do. Hi Gary. If your dealer does get a Guerrilla Demo, I'll interested to hear what you think. I traded my Hunter in about 3 weeks ago for a Guerrilla (in Playa Black) Obviously I'm still running it in (about 750 miles so far) and although it's great machine in many ways, it's quite different to the Hunter, better in some respects but not as good in others. Those 350 J series engines have a unique character and are superb at what they do. One similarity though is the sublime gearbox. Anyway, I'll keep my eyes peeled on your channel. Hi Phil. That's interesting. I have a test ride lined up for tomorrow. I think that it's likely that the vibes of that engine will still bother me, as they did on the Himalayan 450 I tried. Both the 411 and particularly the 350 singles are so smooth that I fear that they might have ruined me for any other engine sharing a similar architecture. This is my big fear. I'm sure that the Guerrilla will be a cracking bike in many ways, but if the engine is annoying and doesn't have a pleasant character, it could well end up ruining what would otherwise be an excellent bike. I will approach the test ride with an open mind and try to ride the demo bike on the type of roads I would usually be riding on ( i.e. not on the motorway and not in the city ). If I do that I am sure that I will be able to come to a decision about whether I want one or not. Good luck with your new Guerrilla. The Himalayan 450 owners seem to be reporting significantly less vibes as the engine starts to loosen up but it's always hard to know how that actually feels, what they actually mean by "better" 🤷♂ That 350 engine seems to be proving a hard act to follow ! @@economicalrides Hi Gary. That's exciting news, a test ride ...... I'll be looking out for the video. Regarding the vibes thing in the foot rests, I did notice it quite a bit on the Himi 450 I test rode but it doesn't seem to be an issue, of any merit, on the Guerrilla although it is still there. I'm not sure if the footrests are different on the Guerrilla but when my feet are resting on the rubber inserts, on the pegs, I don't notice any vibration at all up to 6000 rpm (still running in 😊) If I angle my feet back or forward to contact the metal part of the footrest, I can detect some buzz but in normal foot position, for me, there are no annoying vibes. If I'd had the money and space, I would have definitely kept the Hunter, it's better mannered down low, for slow or town work but, in the same breath, I wont be handing the Guerrilla back 😁 I will just say that the Guerrilla does encourage a slightly brisker style of riding and the road handling is brilliant although a tad firm. I think the engine does have bags of character but not the same as the 350s ...... can't comment on the 411 engine. Anyway, hope you enjoy the test ride. Try riding it in 'ECO' mode, that's all I've been using so far and it still seems to go well. Cheers for now, Phil

It's quite possible that RE have improved the vibration damping in the foot pegs and various mounting points for various other parts, thereby improving matters to the point of now being acceptable. I will be looking to confirm that tomorrow. I quite agree. For me this will be my "hooligan tool", the bike I take out when I want to go for a more spirited ride. Then I'll have Buddy for the relaxing rides and Norman für the rocky stuff. Getting the Guerrilla would also lower the amount of miles I have to pile onto Buddy, since some of my road rides would then be done on the new 450. And since I want Buddy to last forever, that seems like a reasonable excuse to get a second "road" bike to me. That's "man logic" at its finest, I know ! 🤣 We'll see. If I can live with the level of the vibes then I will have a decision to make ! 🤔 Thanks Phil. Really interesting to hear how you are getting on with yours after having previously owned a 350 ! @@economicalrides Yes Gary, nothing wrong with a generous helping of 'man logic' 😁 I don't know if you're the same as me but I can never really tell if I'm going to get on with a bike, long term, just from a test ride. I did know, straight away, that I really like the look of the Guerrilla (in Playa Black 😊) and from the test ride I did know that I loved the handling, riding position and I did think it would be a comfortable bike, for a 'naked' but that was about it. In fact, for the first week or so I was feeling a bit unsure about it, especially as the first part of the running in period (311 miles) restricts you to 4000 rpm and the engine only gets really comfortable from about 3000 rpm ...... not much to play with 🤔 But, 7 or 8 hundred miles further on, I'm getting into what the bike is all about and it's growing on me, fast 👍Incidentally, the engine will go down to about 2300 rpm if you don't ask to much of it then a gentle twist on the throttle to get it to 3000 rpm and away you go 😊 Even though it's about the same weight as the Hunter, proportionally it does feel like a big bike with great stability. Anyway, enjoy .... Phil
@@PAGallagher Hi Phil. I agree. To a large degree a test ride doesn't tell you very much. I had to buy my Street Triple R and my Meteor without a prior test ride and fortunately I loved both of those bikes. Buying a new bike is always a bit of a gamble, even after a test ride. Plenty of things may not make themselves apparent on a short test ride but after a month of ownership you realise that there is a problem. I think for me the test ride is mainly there to let me know if there is anything about the bike that I really do not get on with. Ergonomics, weight, spooky handling etc. With the Himalayan 450, the motorway vibes and the slightly imprecise throttle response just made me feel that it wasn't going to be enough of an upgrade to justify trading in the 411. In that instance, the test ride stopped me from buying the bike. Which has turned out to be a good thing. I'm much better off sticking with Norman for now. I've heard lots of good things about the Guerrilla, particularly how much fun it is to ride in an enthusiastic manner. Can't wait to try it. It's a demo bike, so there is no rev limit as far as I'm concerned 😂 No, I only say that because they registered it just for the One Ride on Sunday. Brand new bike, straight onto the motorway, straight up to 130 kph and held it there. So if they can do it then so can I....... 👹 😜 P.S. No, I wouldn't buy an ex-demo bike either ! 😂

The one I got going on now is 4 hours long. It really should be three videos, but I did not film enough to make starts and end three time. Tells me I still am novice each time. I think I have to do it 10k times to be professional. If I find one today, there is a guy that voice overs of animals, found one video hilarious, and the algorithm has set me up every day with one now. Lol

So the 411 engine must be pretty smooth too. But the 450 engine wasn't. At least not on the 450 Himmy I got to ride. I have my test ride lined up for tomorrow. Looking forward to it but struggling to find any twisty roads near enough to the dealership to give it a proper go. I'm not going to learn much riding it in the city or on the motorway. I'll get back on Google Maps later on and see if I can find a wiggly line anywhere in the vicinity.
I'm pretty sure that I will like the Guerrilla overall but I think it's likely that the vibes will annoy me, just as they did with the 450 Himalayan. That's the big doubt that I have with this one.
The 350 J engine is so smooth for a single, I think it spoils you for anything else with a similar architecture !

I think that it will probably be a very good motorcycle but most likely the buzzy engine will still bother me and make it a no buy. If they've somehow managed to gear it so that you can avoid the vibe zone most of the time, it might just be able to win my favour. But I suspect not. But I have to give it a chance.
Agree. Silly name. In South America where a Guerrilla has often been a very bad thing, RE are calling it the GRR. So even more of a silly name over there 😅 GRR sounds like the sort of thing "Dave" says to me when he comes around here 🤗

That sounds like a real adventure but I'm sure that the Meteor won't let you down. Just bear in mind the age of the battery and maybe change it beforehand, if it's still the OEM one and has done two to three years already. That could save you some hassle far from home.

Yes, I think my battery is on the way out, but has done well, there are times when sadly I haven't ridden much due to quite heavy work commitments, but has kept its charge well ( not connected to a trickle charger, although I know I should)
What makes you and this channel so great is your personal approach to your subscribers, and that you spend the time to write back and communicate. Thank you for that. That is what I think TH-cam is supposed to be all about after all.

I live a pretty solitary existence because probably 90% of the time, it's what I prefer. But I have really enjoyed getting to know so many people via my TH-cam channel and best of all, I've managed to get to know them without even having to leave the house - a real bonus ! 😂
I'm not very good at talking but once I start writing it seems as though I just can't stop and could go on for ages. No idea what that's all about 🤷♂ but I certainly enjoy replying to all comments.
I've always enjoyed hearing about what my viewers are up to and when inevitably their lives seem to be more exciting than mine, I can at least experience their adventures vicariously.
Interestingly things are starting to progress to the point now where I will be meeting up with viewers in person from time to time and that is probably something I never imagined that I would do. TH-cam certainly has a lot to answer for 😛 If anybody is ever in the area on a motorbike, I now feel more or less obliged to be their local guide 😇

Hi Gary. If your dealer does get a Guerrilla Demo, I'll interested to hear what you think. I traded my Hunter in about 3 weeks ago for a Guerrilla (in Playa Black) Obviously I'm still running it in (about 750 miles so far) and although it's great machine in many ways, it's quite different to the Hunter, better in some respects but not as good in others. Those 350 J series engines have a unique character and are superb at what they do. One similarity though is the sublime gearbox. Anyway, I'll keep my eyes peeled on your channel. Hi Phil. That's interesting. I have a test ride lined up for tomorrow. I think that it's likely that the vibes of that engine will still bother me, as they did on the Himalayan 450 I tried.
Both the 411 and particularly the 350 singles are so smooth that I fear that they might have ruined me for any other engine sharing a similar architecture. This is my big fear.
I'm sure that the Guerrilla will be a cracking bike in many ways, but if the engine is annoying and doesn't have a pleasant character, it could well end up ruining what would otherwise be an excellent bike.
I will approach the test ride with an open mind and try to ride the demo bike on the type of roads I would usually be riding on ( i.e. not on the motorway and not in the city ).
If I do that I am sure that I will be able to come to a decision about whether I want one or not.
Good luck with your new Guerrilla. The Himalayan 450 owners seem to be reporting significantly less vibes as the engine starts to loosen up but it's always hard to know how that actually feels, what they actually mean by "better" 🤷♂
That 350 engine seems to be proving a hard act to follow !

@@economicalrides Hi Gary. That's exciting news, a test ride ...... I'll be looking out for the video. Regarding the vibes thing in the foot rests, I did notice it quite a bit on the Himi 450 I test rode but it doesn't seem to be an issue, of any merit, on the Guerrilla although it is still there. I'm not sure if the footrests are different on the Guerrilla but when my feet are resting on the rubber inserts, on the pegs, I don't notice any vibration at all up to 6000 rpm (still running in 😊) If I angle my feet back or forward to contact the metal part of the footrest, I can detect some buzz but in normal foot position, for me, there are no annoying vibes. If I'd had the money and space, I would have definitely kept the Hunter, it's better mannered down low, for slow or town work but, in the same breath, I wont be handing the Guerrilla back 😁 I will just say that the Guerrilla does encourage a slightly brisker style of riding and the road handling is brilliant although a tad firm. I think the engine does have bags of character but not the same as the 350s ...... can't comment on the 411 engine. Anyway, hope you enjoy the test ride. Try riding it in 'ECO' mode, that's all I've been using so far and it still seems to go well. Cheers for now, Phil

I quite agree. For me this will be my "hooligan tool", the bike I take out when I want to go for a more spirited ride. Then I'll have Buddy for the relaxing rides and Norman für the rocky stuff. Getting the Guerrilla would also lower the amount of miles I have to pile onto Buddy, since some of my road rides would then be done on the new 450. And since I want Buddy to last forever, that seems like a reasonable excuse to get a second "road" bike to me. That's "man logic" at its finest, I know ! 🤣
We'll see. If I can live with the level of the vibes then I will have a decision to make !

@@economicalrides Yes Gary, nothing wrong with a generous helping of 'man logic' 😁 I don't know if you're the same as me but I can never really tell if I'm going to get on with a bike, long term, just from a test ride. I did know, straight away, that I really like the look of the Guerrilla (in Playa Black 😊) and from the test ride I did know that I loved the handling, riding position and I did think it would be a comfortable bike, for a 'naked' but that was about it. In fact, for the first week or so I was feeling a bit unsure about it, especially as the first part of the running in period (311 miles) restricts you to 4000 rpm and the engine only gets really comfortable from about 3000 rpm ...... not much to play with 🤔 But, 7 or 8 hundred miles further on, I'm getting into what the bike is all about and it's growing on me, fast 👍Incidentally, the engine will go down to about 2300 rpm if you don't ask to much of it then a gentle twist on the throttle to get it to 3000 rpm and away you go 😊 Even though it's about the same weight as the Hunter, proportionally it does feel like a big bike with great stability. Anyway, enjoy .... Phil
@@PAGallagher Hi Phil. I agree. To a large degree a test ride doesn't tell you very much. I had to buy my Street Triple R and my Meteor without a prior test ride and fortunately I loved both of those bikes. Buying a new bike is always a bit of a gamble, even after a test ride. Plenty of things may not make themselves apparent on a short test ride but after a month of ownership you realise that there is a problem. I think for me the test ride is mainly there to let me know if there is anything about the bike that I really do not get on with. Ergonomics, weight, spooky handling etc. With the Himalayan 450, the motorway vibes and the slightly imprecise throttle response just made me feel that it wasn't going to be enough of an upgrade to justify trading in the 411. In that instance, the test ride stopped me from buying the bike. Which has turned out to be a good thing. I'm much better off sticking with Norman for now.
I've heard lots of good things about the Guerrilla, particularly how much fun it is to ride in an enthusiastic manner. Can't wait to try it.
It's a demo bike, so there is no rev limit as far as I'm concerned 😂
No, I only say that because they registered it just for the One Ride on Sunday. Brand new bike, straight onto the motorway, straight up to 130 kph and held it there. So if they can do it then so can I....... 👹 😜

@@economicalrides good to know, I am in 35 videos and would think how O.O. I am, that I would have a lot of this stuff down. I am not getting any better at shortening my starting video time. The one I got going on now is 4 hours long. It really should be three videos, but I did not film enough to make starts and end three time. Tells me I still am novice each time. I think I have to do it 10k times to be professional. If I find one today, there is a guy that voice overs of animals, found one video hilarious, and the algorithm has set me up every day with one now. Lol

Test ride on the big monkey is tomorrow. I'm sure that I will like it but it is possible that the engine vibrations will bother me, just as they did with the 450 Himalayan.
We'll see. I think that 350 J Series engine spoils you for any other single. It's just ridiculously smooth to ride and any other single feels pretty terrible after it. Although Norman feels fine to me too. So the 411 engine must be pretty smooth too. But the 450 engine wasn't. At least not on the 450 Himmy I got to ride. I will let you know if it ruins the bike for me in an upcoming video 👍
