    Performance Activity:
1.Are you afraid in public speaking? If yes, explain the reasons why you are afraid. If no, describe the experience that you had in public speaking.
Yes, I have experience in public speaking, I have been standing and teaching the word of God in front of people in our church. At first, I felt nervous and low self-esteem, I was conscious about the words that I would speak, I used to think that I might make a mistake, and I thought that the people in front of me were smarter. But then, the time came when I realized I shouldn't be thinking that way because it was making it even harder for me to think correctly.
    2. State your techniques on how to speak properly in public. You can also state your experience in the past in public speaking.
The more you practice your speech or presentation, the more confident you'll become. Familiarity with your material will help reduce nervousness. This was my technique when I was about to stand on front of the Audience.

    Answer:
1.Public speaking is typically something many people do not enjoy doing. Most people try to avoid doing public speaking simply because of the fear of speaking in front of an audience is just terrifying or maybe even intimidating to some.I am one of those people who typically do not enjoy public speaking. The thought of getting in front of having and having to speak on a topic is uneasy for me..I am difinitely not the type of person to enjoy being the center of attention and having all eyes on me over the years I have become more comfortable with public speaking, but it is still something that is not fully in my comfort zone.
2.The best public speakers maintain proper posture ,make an eye contact with the audience, and move in ways that look natural.Good body language improves your performance and helps the audience take in and remember what you say.Avoid putting your hands in your pockets or crossing your arm..

    1. Yes I admit I'm afraid in public speaking because I'm always led my nervousness and shyness. And when I am led by the nervousness that comes in, I feel shy to speak in front of many people, but I often fight this shyness to be able to gain confidence in myself to speak to many people without hesitation.
    2. My methods of how to speak well in public require that you do not show that you are nervous or shy. Must be confident in speaking and avoid repeating things like ahhh, hmmmff.. .and the most important thing is to make a mark on your listeners with all your words and make a mark in their minds that you are a very good speaker.

2.i believe confidence is the key. Whenever I feel anxious before speaking. I see to it,that I won't let myself distracted and imagine my audience as blind and they can only hear me. A good and convincing gestures would also be a help, but too much can cause distractions. I should always maintain a proper posture and read books to be more eloquent. Practicing the speech over and over so that I will be more used, comfortable, and convincing to my audience as an effective speaker.

    1. The biggest fear of all that I have is the fear of public speaking. So yes, I am afraid in public speaking. For as long as I can remember, public speaking has always been one that I dread the most. Be it simple class presentation, I can hardly utter my words out either due to fear or nervousness. The sudden view of the audience and the silence make my heart thump against my chest which my gait unstable. Fears can be ones worst enemy.
    2. Know your audience and prepare. Good preparation is the secret sauce to speaking with confidence. Structure your thoughts, write them down and then perform. Be confident you have to trust that the audience is rooting for you. Breathe deeply and take the moment.

    2. The techniques that I have in speaking properly in public is Im doing inhale exhale 3x before I proceed in speaking. Then when I'm speaking in public I'm not looking at the eyes of the audience because it helps me not be distracted. It helps me to focus on what I'm saying and stating . And the other one technique is I prepare myself before I speak in public. I give my time to relax and not to feel netvous.
When I was a teenager I'm getting to use i to speak in front of others child and adults. When I'm leading on a church activities. When I become a mother, sometimes I have given a permission or opportunity to speak in public. Others push me to speak ..they say I can do it . Maybe those are the reason why I have a self confidence in public speaking. Other people supports.

    1. Yes. I admit, I really don't have that much confidence in me to face a lot of people. I can be in one, but speaking in front can make me shake in nervousness. With that, the way that I'll speak might not be clear. It is also because of the anxiousness that I feel when seeing lots of people in front of me.
    2. If ever I'll be in one, this I think what I will do: 1) think and imagine that you are alone and set that as a mindset, 2) find ways to ease the nervousness, 3) think of solutions to lessen the trembling, 4) practice doing breathing exercise once in a while and right before setting your feet on the stage, 5) keep in mind that not everything can be so good in life and we can fail even if we don't want to.

    Answer:
    1. There are several reasons why I might have fear of public speaking. First, I have less exposure to it. Public speaking is a skill that takes time and practice to develop. Next is lack of confidence. In high school, I may not have had the confidence or self-esteem to stand in front of a group of people and speak. I might worry about stumbling with my words, forgetting what I need to say, or appearing nervous. Lastly, it is the fear of rejection. Being rejected by the audience while speaking in public significantly contributed to my fear.
    2. Speaking properly in public can be a challenge, but with practice and proper techniques, I can do it well. Some of the techniques that I have used includes being prepared. It is about knowing and mastering your craft. Having an outline and practicing my speech really helps. Next tip is that my close friends helped me by becoming my practice audience. Because I know and trusted them, I somewhat have the confidence to perform my speech or presentation.

Perhaps when the time comes for more practices, I can manage myself in front of those people.
2.)To speak properly in public, you should have full confidence, calm your nerves, relax, know your audience, and practice, because practice makes perfect.
I don't have any experience in public speaking, but I do have experience as an emcee in our church. At first, it made me uncomfortable because all the people at church were looking at me, but the more I took those opportunities, the more glory we gave to the Lord.

Public speaking places me in the spotlight, which is uncomfortable for me, who prefer to remain in the background.
    2. The following are my techniques to speak properly in public speaking :
    * Practice - I make sure to practice and rehearse my speech. I pay attention to the intonations & stress in each syllableS, so that, i won't be misinterpreted.
    * Voice modulation - I also make sure to vary my tone, and pace to be able to keep my audience and listeners engaged on what i was saying.

    1. While I would not say I fear public speaking, I certainly experience nervousness. My primary source of anxiety stems from my still-developing fluency in English. Sometimes, the pressure of expressing myself clearly and eloquently can be overwhelming. Additionally, intimidating audiences, such as a large crowd or individuals with high authority, can exacerbate my nerves.
    2. To overcome nervousness and speak effectively in public, I prepare thoroughly, research deeply, structure my content, and practice delivery. I calm my nerves through deep breathing, positive visualization, and self-talk. During delivery, I slow down, maintain eye contact, utilize pauses, and project confidence through body language. Embracing mistakes allows me to learn and improve.

Move around but not too much , so that you don't feel nervous. Be confident give full trust to yourself that you can do it. And for the last enjoy yourself in front of so many people while discussing.

    1. There are times when I am afraid and not when I am in a public speaking. Because I only feel the shame and fear when there are people in their way, how they look at you, you will immediately see that they criticize and judge you even without words that comes out of their mouths. And there are times when I'm not afraid, why? because I know that I'm the only one who can judge myself that no matter what happens the way I speak in front of a huge or many people is the way I show what I'm capable of. And I'm proud of what I was able to do and I did.
2.For me, the techniques that are being done, I have set in my mind that it is natural to feel nervous in front of many people, so it is better to get to know the audience, give the best you can if the most effective manner is needed in order to attain or give your purpose, show who you are, to the extent that you can, just play your role that you don't need to pretend and change to someone else's personality. And be proud to your self that you made it.

    1. I am not afraid of public speaking, but I used to be. I actually see it as an opportunity to showcase your talent and encourage your listeners to agree with your stand. Public speaking develops the confidence of the speaker and adds insight to both the speaker and the listeners.
    2. Before, I used to write why I would say to have more organized thoughts. I still do it sometimes, but more often, I do an impromptu as long as I'm familiar with the subject and have enough confidence to face people. It takes practice, especially when the topic is not in the scope of your knowledge or understanding, it takes lots of reading, and prayers.

I have fear of being stared at, fear of failure or rejection, fear of the unknown, a traumatic experience in the past, and social anxiety.
    2. For me maybe I consider the extemporaneous method to be the ideal speaking method because it allows us to be prepared, keeps the audience engaged, and makes the speakers more natural in their delivery. In your public speaking class, most of your speeches will probably be delivered extemporaneously.

    1. Charm your audience is the success to be a good public speaker. Talk to the audience as you are in a conversation with their mind even without them knowing. When at the start what I learned is that I need to pitch my voice to show confidence. Even now when I'm having butterflies at a speech, I starts with a high tone, to go all in. That is to build confidence within me when doubts come to mind. But now reflecting back on all my experiences, it is not always about pitch.

With that, the way that I'll speak might not be clear. It is also because of the anxiousness that I feel when seeing lots of people in front of me.
    2. If ever I'll be in one, this I think what I will do: First, think and imagine that you are alone and set that as a mindset. Second, find ways to ease the nervousness. Third, think of solutions to lessen the trembling. Forth, practice doing breathing exercise once in a while and right before setting your feet on the stage. And last, keep in mind that not everything can be so good in life and we can fail even if we don't want to ,but what important is we try and do better next time .

    1. Are you afraid in public speaking? If yes, explain the reasons why you are afraid. If no, describe the experience that you had in public speaking
•Yes, I am afraid of public speaking. Although I am always speaking publicly, the reason is that I am shy because I don't know what they are thinking about me or about what I do. And I am afraid to disappoint people who are watching me. I am afraid to fail.
    2. State your techniques on how to speak properly in public. You can also state your experiences in the past in public speaking.
•The technique I used to speak properly was to be prepared and ask for guidance from God. If I am prepared, I am confident and sure of what I am going to say. But we really don't know what our future is or what are things destined for us. There are times when I am fully confident and prepared, and that is also the time that I fail because I forget what the next steps should be.

    1. Yes! I am afraid in public speaking, maybe because I am not ready for what my audience going to ask me. And I also didn't know how I am going to deliver my speech correctly in front of my audience. I also feel shy when I am speaking in public , because I am worried that I can make a mistake and be the audience distraction.
    2. Even though I didn't perform public speaking regularly, I also have my own techniques when time comes that I need to do a public speaking , first is: I must know my audience. I must know if they can participate on my topic. Then the second technique and I know that it is the most important is practice. I must practice myself speaking in front of my audience. I also need to practice my speech if I uses correct words or phrases. And the last technique is to make an eye to eye contact to the audience to get their sympathy and reactions.
    Thank you po...

    1. Speaking in public doesn't make me nervous because I have previous experience addressing large audiences. I was chosen as a leader to speak at the company's (TOSHIBA) Kick Off event, representing the employees, which was a memorable experience for me. This opportunity allowed me to gain confidence in public speaking, making it a less challenging task for me.
    2. Based on my experience, below are the techniques that I prepare before I speak in public:
    - I understand the topic I discuss.
    - I practice my speech beforehand so that I can deliver it clearly and confidently.
    - I highlight my experience as a good leader to make it interesting and inspirational to others.

    1. Yes, I have a fear in public speaking. I have a real fear of being embarrassed or rejected. I always doubt myself, and i sometimes forget to what I'm saying, let's say i forget the content and fear of failing. I feel so nervous and insecure to myself. I worry what people will think of me, worrying that I will stumble over the words.
    2. Watching and learning from exceptional speakers offers one of the best ways to improve my own public speaking skills. I try to search for examples of great public speakers on TH-cam. One of my techniques is that, look out into the audience, don't stare down at the ground or at your notes for long periods of time.
