Where do you think Mick is?
I think Mick flew south for the winter and he'll be back to see his mom.
I don’t know where he is, but I believe she’ll see him again. He really hasn’t been gone that long.
Sadly, one could never know unless he turned up again.
Mick indeed flew south with the other wild ducks and will fly back. The instinct is strong but ultimately the love between sentient beings is stronger.
I think he's out there livin' his best life! I hope he comes back for a visit and we get an update ❤
The end was heartbreaking, please take comfort in the fact that you gave him the best life possible! He knew he was loved. ❤😢
I know--those empty chairs in the yard really got to me. I hope he returns someday. 💔
He will return
While emotionally it is, she should take great solace in that she as a human being aided another creature in need in this world. That deserves a lot of praise imo. Whether he returns or not, he loved her dearly, and know she’s loved him.
Thank goodness I read your comment first and decided not to watch the video. I gave it a like, because I like to acknowledge everything and anything involving good deeds, particularly towards defenseless animals. BUT... if there's heartbreak at the end, I just cannot watch it. 😔💔
@@adeladavila-estelritz7315 It's nothing gruesome, one day he didn't appear. He might have had an accident but he also could have just flown south. Fingers crossed 🤞 for the better outcome. ❤
She loved Mick very unselfishly 💗. Letting him choose what he wanted had to be hard. Too many ppl make the decision to keep a wild animal captive for their own selfish feelings so I really admire her!
So true!
Mascovey ducks are domesticated. Not wild.
@@Yobabywhatscrackin the point is, she didn't keep him in a cage, she gave him his freedom.
It's almost like many people do with their actual human children in a sense. So many people make the mistake of doing what they WANT concerning children instead of thinking of what's ACTUALLY BEST for those children
He didn't "choose", though. All ducks have a teen phase where they want to be away from Mom, but he is a human imprint and could never survive in the wild. The fact that he only lived a year is very sad, because if he'd been given to someone who knows what they're doing, he'd still be alive today.
I pray he is migrating somewhere with other ducks and will come back in the spring to let his momma know he's okay. Beautiful story of love and rescue.
❤🥰
Muscovy ducks don't migrate. They remain in the same area.
@@dubonett8239 you are right , but they have taken off and returned months , even a year later by what other male Muscovy owners have said . So I am hoping he is safe and happy and will be able to come home one day 🩵🦆🙏
Hopefully he found a mate nearby.
@@dubonett8239 the only possible reason was another male duck claimed the pond as his territory which leave mick to leave or maybe he got another territory with more female in it and choose to stay..
He is def somewhere telling his duck family about his super tall featherless mom. ❤
❤
😄
@@tonipulver-nu3wzu did what u can ❤
🤣🤣
I like this comment; super tall featherless mom😂❤❤
These birds can really get a death-grip on your heart. People who have only had dogs and cats have no idea how passionate birds are.
So very true! I have 3 hens, had no idea what sweet personalities chickens have! I adore my girls 🥰
yeah they are very passionate and delicious
Yeah I became friends with a wild chicken on the streets of Mexico.
Started helping it when it was just a little thing. Amazing how much love that chicken showed me.
Sadly, although I got to watch that chicken grow up. One day she just disappeared.
I think a stray dog got her. So many stray dogs in Mexico as well.
Anyway, chickens are way smarter than people realize
@@jj-dd8fn I wasn’t supposed to laugh at your comment because I am a vegetarian.
@@jj-dd8fnWell yes , so now I'm feeling guilty
This makes me cry... I'm so glad people like her exist in our world. God bless you mama!

@tonipulver-nu3wz you really tugged at my heartstrings and made me cry 😢 I pray he's just migrating and comes back to see his mama with some adorable little ducklings. You're an awesome person ❤

I always heard ducks will return to the same place year after year to lay their eggs so there’s a chance Mick will return next year possibly with his own lady duck. 🥰
Hopefully he didn’t get killed 😢
@@sk8ercaligirl Don’t think like that. 🫤
That dude is all grown up and out there getting laid with a bunch of female ducks!
He's living a good life
@@shinyeevee3203don't think realistically?
@@withgoddess8029 I’m trying to remain positive about the outcome of Mick’s fate. You just can’t come in and start spreading negativity like that. Also it’s realistic for ducks to fly back to the same spot year after year. Don’t believe me then look it up for yourself. 🙄
This brought tears to my eyes. What a wonderful woman.
Aww 🥰 Thank you
Good soul

Wow, look at him hugging her leg so close like that. Seems rarer for a duck to want such full contact.
That wasn't a simple heppy greeting. That was a warm and super-loving reunion-hello hug.
My boy ❤🥰
what a great mom! she did exactly what she needed to do to raise a baby boy duck, from a baby to a boy to a fine and respectful young man, when he found his love in the ducki world, she knew he needed freedom, space, and privacy, an adult life, she let go despite that would break her heart..... and she was so happy when the son comes back to visit her, she didint selfishly force the the ducky to stay, she knew just what to do..... I cried so hard watching this.....
Thank you for all your kind words ❤️ they mean so much !
Thanks for helping baby duck...
Thank you ❤
New Zealand . I started feeding ducks on my front lawn several years ago.
1 fawn coloured... she was a regular, then I didn't see her for almost a year.
Then she would visit a couple of times a year.
Then I hadn't seen her for more than a year. nd she flew in last week snd has visited daily.
Along with another fawn duck that I haven't seen for almost 2 years. They are either siblings or mom and daughter. I have ducks that will bring their ducklings to visit once or twice.
There is a creek near my house.
So never give up hope of seeing Mick again❤😊
This is so sweet they come home to see you ❤ I hope Mick does too !! Thank you so much 🥰

Toni is a great Mom. Mick grew up loved. I think Mick found a nice female duck. Mick and his wife are probably busy raising duckings of their own. 🦆🐥🐥🐥❤️
Thank you so much ❤
Don't worry, Momma. He is definitely out there with the Mrs. Having fun and enjoying his life. You raised him, loved him, and took care of him when he needed you to survive, and you did an amazing job. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years he comes for a visit with his whole family. His wife and all their kids. Until then, be proud of what you did for him, and maybe you can help another bird or any other baby animal you can help and care for?
Stay amazing. ❤❤

Don't be sad. This just gives you a chance to help another duck...or any new stray.
Do not feel sorrow. Rejoice in the fact you saved his life, shared love and let him live a life he never would have been able to survive. You should be happy and proud for what you did for him. You are a super person.

God Bless your heart, you did a wonderful thing. You gave him the best of both worlds. You saved his life, rest in that.
Thank you so much ❤
Muscovies aren't truly ducks - they're South American water fowl, and thus, we discovered, not well-suited for Canadian winters! Even w. a heated coop, we had to bring ours into the house several times. We had one very friendly male, Percy, who'd fly right into the hot tub with us. We eventually lost to him to a predators; we lost dozens of them this way.
Muscovies are famous for leaving intact eggs in the nest once most of the clutch has hatched - our maternal dog would scour the property for any late-hatching eggs that she'd sense were viable, and carry them carefully to us. We hand-raised a dozen babies this way - but as you can see from Mick, they really don't do well alone! Great personalities - and they eat a ton of ticks, which is why we first got them.
I love that ducks wag their tails when happy!
It's the cutest ❤
He’s living his best life. Your love is forever❤
