There are so many good places in Anchorage. You barely scratched the surface.... South, Hearth Pizza, Rustic Goat, Pangea, Granny B's and Lucky Wishbone just to name a few.
As someone who lives in Alaska and used to work at Spenard Roadhouse, Mooses Tooth and Bear Tooth. Spenard Roadhouse is the cleanest restaurant in town.
I’m really enjoying the banter between the two of you! Just found this series while searching for ideas of what to do and see for an Alaska trip in September 2022.
Those all look fantastic! I honestly can't choose which one looks better, although sushi and ice cream are two of my favorite foods. I'll have to get to Alaska someday!
Fire Island and Snow City are indeed the best breakfast spots in town. For dinner, I loved Glacier Brewhouse and Haute Quarter Grill. I've heard 49th State and Simon & Seafort are excellent choices.
We actually both used to live in Alaska back in 2013. We worked at a Wilderness lodge about 3 hours north of Anchorage, but came to the city on our days off a lot. There weren't a lot of dining options up where we lived so we got really excited about food when we came to Anchorage
Some Great choices. Personally, I like Gwennies, Bear Tooth, & Alaska Burger when I'm in Anchorage. I travel down for work on a regular basis (I live to the North in Fairbanks).
Recently I went to wild scoops for a tour with my daughters Girl Scout troop we got to see the test kitchen where they create all the ice cream flavors and got to test the ice cream which is now my new favorite ice cream shop

You're sexy@@TheAwkwardTourists
As a sourdough, I love seeing my hometown done justice. Thank you.
Anchorage has some really great food!

No doubt! Unfortunately we didn't have time to get to them all

Rustic goat and Pangeas are permanently closed now

I live here and it’s so fun to see you enjoy some of my very favorite places here. Glad you liked your experience
Anchorage has a really good food scene. When we worked in Alaska back in the day we would love our trips to Anchorage for all the food!

This video made my mouth watery
Anchorage has some amazing food!

Did you ever make it up for your trip? How was it?
@@Landonmoto39 yes, we had a great time!
@@michelletownsley3172 nice! We had some beautiful fall colors this year even if it was short lived!

Grew up in anchorage. Everytime I go back I HAVE to go to Mooses tooth.
Ha! I worked at the Spenard Roadhouse for YEARS! I saw this thumbnail and recognized the spot immediately. 😂
That awesome! We met working in Alaska back in 2013, whenever we go through Anchorage, Spenard Roadhouse is a must visit
@@TheAwkwardTourists No way! If you ordered Super Tots then I most likely made them for you!

Glaicer brewhouse is really good! We didn't go on this trip, but we used to eat there a lot when we worked summers in Alaska
Glacier BrewHouse, 49th state brewing and Simon & Seafort are all a hit!!
🥰❤️👍 my Town for many years, awesome choices❣️Hey fly girl, good for you two channels‼️
Thanks! Anchorage is a special place. Love it there
Love the bloopers! Can we travel 😫 with you guys? I'm jealous 😫 especially the Italian trip

Glad you enjoyed it! It was fun making it. There is so much good food in Anchorage
Awkward (Tourist) pause...."Killing it!" lol!😂
Glad you liked that one!
These are all great options. My favorite is Moose’s Tooth.😊
Mine too! Sooo good!
I go to the bears tooth and get the exact same pizza with way less of a wait to get the pizza and don’t even see a movie 🍕 🤫. Anchorage secrets
@@TheAwkwardTourists My favorite is your cute little face
I have that same sweater.
Their Cubano is excellent. Next time you go, try the BJ Burger if you haven't already
We will check that out! It was our first time at Spenard, we will be back!
Since this wasn’t your first time, how often do you go to anchorage? I left there in 1994 and none of the restaurants you featured existed.

I love this
You're not "fussy". You're just "discerning":-) Go team discerning!
😆 love it!
@@TheAwkwardTourists us discerning folks need to stick together😄

Nice! I have tried Bear tooth, but we will have to check out the others next time we are in town
I still prefer Arctic Roadrunner for the burger lunch.
I've never been . We will have to try that next time.
Great informative video
Thanks so much
There is a reason the locals have nicknamed it SLOW city cafe....
Yeah, We did have to wait a while
Great video! However Peter's Sushi Spot is way better than Sushi Ya
We will have to try that next time
Poutine does NOT have cheddar cheese on it 🇨🇦 So, not really poutine sadly 😜
I guess we feel a primal need to put cheese on everything, as Americans 😆
@@TheAwkwardTourists Poutine has cheese….copious amounts…..just cheese curds not cheddar :) So we’re with ya on the cheese!
@@petern6808 ohh I see! Kevin would know that, being from Buffalo, New York, but I'm from California and poutine isn't common there!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Moose tooth is the best pizza place I ever tried seriously and I don't even like pizza
Yeah, Moose tooth is pretty damn good
Are you even a human you don't like pizza what the hell
Omg did someone did a actual native alaska food? Imntrying find a video to inspire me but allnof them are full of burgers and fries very disaapponting
