The UniFi® Switch Flex is a managed, Layer 2 Gigabit switch with auto-sensing 802.3af PoE support.
The USW-Flex supports a maximum PoE output budget of 46W when powered by 60W 802.3bt PoE++. Four ports offer auto-sensing 802.3af PoE output to power multiple devices on the network.
The USW-Flex can be installed horizontally or vertically making it ideal for desktop, magnetic wall-mount, and pole-mount installations.
The USW-Flex is designed for indoor or outdoor use. With its weatherproof housing and versatile mounting options, the USW-Flex provides both flexibility and durability for environments with extreme temperature variations.
The USW-Flex powers a variety of products, including the UniFi Video Camera G3 Flex, UniFi Video Camera G4 Pro, and UniFi AC Mesh AP, which use 802.3af PoE. To enable its maximum power budget of 46W, the USW-Flex can be powered by the USW-Industrial switch, which provides 60W of 802.3bt PoE++.

I've been crimping new connectors to the cable from my USW-Flex to my
UAP-AC-Pro a couple of times, but the AP keeps rebooting every few minutes. I bought the same power supply as you ended up using, but I didn't realize that I had toi set "PoE Inector" as the power source until you showed this. Seems incredibly stupid, since it's the only power source it has. Again, thanks a lot. :)

can you tell me how you have your camera system plugged into the network i see you selected camera vlan
All IP cameras and the NVR are connected to a UniFi Switch and I have created a dedicated vlan for cameras.

can you please help i plug the 50v60w injector to the usw flex and where do i activate injection mode for the use flex, 4 cameras only 2 is running. i can not find the power source.

Depends on the POE devices that you will connect but i am not recommend it. It is very easy to open UniFi Controller and set it up.
Any issues using that POE injector? Thanks for the video. Was researching what i can use to get that power budget without the BT POE.

Great video! Very informative. You just gave me a great idea. With the poe injector and switch flex, seems like you don't need a separate switch. Quick question, can I have unifi g4 pro cameras connected to the switch flex (powered by poe injector) which then is connected directly to the network modem without a switch? And then a unifi cloud key Gen2 connected to the network modern directly as well to record video. Thanks
Thank you for your comment! Yes you can connect the UniFi Flex Switch and the Cloud Key in the switch ports of your Router!
@@PoseidwnTech that's great, I've see quite a few reports on battery and heat problems of the CKG2+ so I'm considering getting the UNVR4 instead. The UNVR4 doesn't have built-in network controller, wondering if I will bump into issues with setting up the camera system with just the switch flex and Poe injector? Thanks

Can u close poe on one of the out ports?
Yes you can enable or disable the POE of the 4 ports.
When they start supplying a Unifi sticker in the apple like box I will be moving away from unifi.
