    This thing literally saved my surf trip to the Mentawaiis when I completely torn off my ACL 3 weeks before departure. At that time I was pretty desperate and almost cancelled. But then I bought the Armor because it was compatible with water activities and prayed that it'd be sufficient to support my very unstable knee (my PCL was intact though). At first it seemed I picked the wrong size (too big), but then I added the nylon leg sleeve (also from Donjoy) and another knee sleeve so that I have 2 additional layers under the Armor. It worked perfectly! But better make sure you got the right measurements! My injured knee was the left one, and I'm a goofy, meaning that it basically supports most of the weight during turns. I surfed front & back side on 5-6 foot waves with no pain or limitations whatsoever. Although it may not be a long term solution, I totally recommend the Armor.

    I couldn't recommend either for basketball, not sure you can wear a metal (or carbon) brace in basketball as it would be a risk to other players. You'd have to check with your local ref. The Armor is quite a bit heavier than the Fullforce and the Fullforce has a lot more flexibility. Depending on your knee injury I could recommend smaller (and cheaper!) braces.

    I play a lot of sports, mostly basketball. Would you recommend the armor or the fullforce? Does the Fourcepoint hinge make a big difference? Is the weight of the Armor troublesome? Does the armor or full force slip have a problem with slipping down?

    I currently wear Issue Unloader braces on both knees for arthritis. I have worn them for four years and work as a carpenter.
    Would these work as unloaders? I really like the rigid ' force flex?" design on these.
    Thanks.

      Hi Stevie,
      If you are able to ring 01522 875252 or email sales@firstaid4sport.co.uk with your question a member of our team will be able to help. It would also be beneficial to mention that you are looking at the DonJoy Armor Knee Brace.

    Hi there, i have a question. I'm playing Football (''Soccer''), and i was wondering if you can tell me what is better product for me. Armor or Fullforce Knee Braces? A few years ago I had a knee surgery. I had ACL reconstruction. Now my knee is well, but the doctor sad i should not play without knee brace. So that's why i'm asking what is better for my knee. Thanks in advance.

      Your wont be able to play in an Armor as it contains metal, same with the Fullforce. Our advice would be a good quality neoprene knee brace with plastic stays down each side.

      Mišel Dujković actually thats not correct, this brace is mainly for impct sports like soccer and football. Check the donjoy description on it, it is recommended for lineman

    Can i wear this together with my ski boots?
    The height of my knee to ground is 17.5 inches
    If it does it might have very little space between the end of one and the beginning of the other, would it be still a problem while skiing?

      get the short calf cuff specifically for skiers

    Hi, Ive undergone an acl reconstruction and am looking in investing in a brace. I skateboard a lot, would you recommend the armour or the legend?? What are the differences between them?

    • @FirstAid4SportUK
      @FirstAid4SportUK  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sam Wood we would definitely recommend the Armor, it has a higher level hinge and is available in different calf lengths, the legend is a very similar brace made from slightly different materials and without the forcepoint hinge.

    Is the lenght of the Donjoy Armor different depending on size? Could you tell how long it is from the hinge to the bottom? I'd need this info to understand if it fits with the ski boots. Despite it is advised for skiing I want to be sure about this. Thanks!

      Sorry... size S. Thanks!

      @FirstAid4SportUK  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nicola Simonetto hi, we specially stock only the short calf length so that we can guarantee that the brace will fit comfortably with ski boots with approximately a 3 inch gap between the top of your boot and the bottom of the brace. I hope that helps, if you need any more information don't hesitate to get in touch :)

    I'm pretty concerned. I went to get my brace fitted privately yesterday, and he sent me away with having fitted it, but it just looked and felt un-natural. I wore it around the house for a couple of hours to see if I would get used to it, but it still felt odd.
    Having just watched this video, I believe the guy who fitted it (£180 to see him for 30 mins) has fitted it wrong. You mentioned a lot of people go to you with having the hinges too far down and it being uncomfortable, well that's exactly how he fitted it to me!

      @FirstAid4SportUK  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      George Kershaw We are trained by Donjoy the manufacturers of this product, we'd only advise being fitted by official Donjoy fitters.

    • @GeorgeKershawBMX
      @GeorgeKershawBMX 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your reply doesn't make sense :( It was fitted by a consultant who was a t practice that's a 3rd party supplier for Donjoy, but I believe he done it wrong. The left pad by the hinge digs in real bad

    • @FirstAid4SportUK
      @FirstAid4SportUK  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      George Kershaw Then it has been fitted wrong, the pads on either side of the knee should fit comfortably. It may be that the brace isn't suitable for the shape of your leg or the sizing is wrong.
