In addition to being a great sportswriter, Mr. Thompson wrote a book about Pappy Van Winkle bourbon. Even if (like me) you’d never pay $1,000 for a bottle of whiskey, or if you don’t especially like bourbon (also me) - like basically everything Wright’s ever written, it’s a wonderful read. I will definitely be checking out the article on Caitlin Clark. With any luck, he’ll turn that into a book as well. Great choice & booking, Dan & Fritzi! You can never go wrong with Wright Thompson.
"Have you found a coach or player who welcomed you telling them about themselves?" blew me away as a question. Thompson just goes so deep, so far beyond the questions and answers, that the interview must be a learning experience for the interviewee. I'm going to track down his Reilly interview. Patrick is equally the best in his business, both in getting these exceptional guests and with his insightful questions. Sorry that his clock is ticking, will miss him when he's gone, and whenever that is, it will be too soon.
Interesting aspect of NIL; a star actually making big money on a team of nobodies getting no NIL money must be in a precarious position. Almost as if you feel obligated to spread the wealth. In Caitlyn's case, the money is gone as soon as she gets it.

Patrick is untouchable as an interviewer.
Well said and agree wholeheartedly
Great questions as always Dan. Wright does a phenomenal job as well. My favorite line of this interview was - “She’s Kobe Bryant with a ponytail.”
"Peace in the Quest"
That's awesome....
Good ole boy!
Thank you for not having that ear drum bleeding intro. lol. Joking but being fr
Kobe with a ponytail...nice
Wright is the 🐐!
Always good stuff
Just a tip: y’all need to use some windex on the front facing camera before your Zoom/Webex calls. You’re welcome.
Good job on saying Olathe right
Wright seems like a good dude....I like that he brought up Marcus Dupree. His 30 for 30 was eye-opening.
Wait no loud ass intro?? 🙌
hes good. thanks.
Please Patrick. Your producers do the gameplan or else we would get you asking questions like what's your favorite color?
