To be fair, tall ladies hear "short girls are cute/I want a short girl/I love short girls" and we hardly hear anything about tall girls, then we get insecure and want a super tall guy. Like 6'4" tall, so that maybe he'll be like "oh she's short!"

I feel like if I were to date a girl that is just an inch or two shorter than me, I'd always be nervous if she wanted to wear heels and wouldn't because she didn't wanna be taller than me or something, so to skip it all, I go for the shortest girl I can find LOL and that's coming from a guy who isn't that tall, so its especially important

Serious props to you! I hear girls around your height talking about how much they want to be with guys that are crazy tall. And being at 5'11" myself (a girl), I'm like "What's left for the rest of us?". I don't say that to be shallow (even though someone at least the same height is a preference), it's just shorter guys always seem to either feel intimidated/emasculated by the height or they like fetishize it, so that pairing usually doesn't work.

Girl I'm seeing now is a little taller then me actually lol. It's just a personal preferences is all not even one I abide by always, clearly lol. But I know you can't do anything about it, just like I can't do anything about my height, I wish I was taller. But I am what I am, doesn't make me any less of a person and I still know that I'm pretty awesome regardless of my height. As I'm sure you're just as awesome if you were 4'10" or 6'5" :). as a tall person I think a can explain the height thing at least for me, bein around people that are shorter can make girls insecure about their height especially if in school they were always the tallest one, or if clothes dot fit because of their height or they hit their head on things (these things have been everyday occurrences for me my whole life). short people often get a lot of sympathy for being short, but tall people don't get that, instead, they get people (who don't know any better) saying things like "ooh look how tall you've grown." tall girls often feel very out of place (especially if they look older too). short people get to hide in the crowd, but tall people are a head above everyone. You had better hope you aren't having a bad hair day, because you will ruin everyone's sky view. I remember as a child wishing to be short and at the same time, there were short girls wishing to be my height. In general I am now a lot more secure about my height and I poke fun at it quite a lot, but I think dating someone shorter than me would be unhealthy for me until I have grown more in self love. In fact, I am not going to date at all until I have learned to let go of certain other insecurities. I understand that this explanation only applies to tall girls, but that is the only thing I have experience with!

lily pennvellyn I agree. I'm 5ft 7 and 21 years old. When I lived in Sweden height wasn't much of an issue because Swedes are known for their height, but when I moved to the UK I became aware of how tall I wa in comparison to the rest of the girls whose average height is 5ft 2/5ft 5. There are days when I feel secure and other days where I am far from confident with my height. I cam never be with someone shorter than me. I am tall and therefore wants to be with a taller guy. Because I'm 5ft 7 he has to be tall. I personally think that as long as the guy is taller, it doesn't matter what height he is. Like the guy stated in the video - "a perfect fit for you as a girl".

Most women aren't taller than 5'4" anyway, so there a bunch of guys who are taller and only a very small percentage that are shorter than her. However, I think it’s also worth mentioning that Danny DeVito is 4'10" and he’s married to a (slightly) taller woman
