Wishing so much his books were translated into English. I did sign the petition and asked others to too! Come on, Bjorn's publishers! There's a HUGE english speaking readership out here longing to read his books!

I would to further explore my own Norse roots and I think your work would be a very good fit as part of that - if I may, I might suggest both an English translation as well an Audiobook on Audible - both I would certainly purchase - your own voice would likely be a very good fit were you willing to do voice over for all your characters... Having now heard you both in English and Norwegian, I must say you express very well in both - much thanks for all you do!

The storyline of this book sounds very similar to a bunch of books I can think of on the topic of Vikings but the stand out is The Longships, an English language historic fiction from the 60's or 70's IIRC. It's well worth the read. Red Orm is another name for it in different markets. For some reason the watching your father be executed, becoming a slave, freeing yourself, etc story is common in this genre, but hey.

"Christian Kings" is an oxymoron. The reality is that in Christianity the only king is Jesus. The heartbreak I have is that those people used the religious dogma to dominate people instead of win them to the love of Christ. The time frame of Christianity and Norse interaction is unfortunate. I hate political religious expression. And yet religion seems to be very socially spread. Where one grows up seems to dictate the religion he is groomed to believe. How do we differ truth from one religion to another?
