Symphony X is one of the most underrated and under appreciated prog metal bands. Russell Allen is probably my favorite metal vocalist and the guitarist Michael Romeo is one of the most underrated guitarists. I'd recommend just about anything off of their Paradise Lost album, it's probably their best album. The title track may be a good one to check out. Their new stuff is still good too.
For some fun vocal oriented music from Russel Allen you should check the material he has put off with another metal vocals great Jorn Lande. Those side projects have that kind of vocal duel theme.
Symphony X has it all. You want heavy hitters? Neoclassical stuff? Prog? Great ballads? They got you covered on all aspects. I recommend a heavier song from them next. Something like Set the World on Fire (not the official video though) or Domination.
Symphony X is awesome! Although this is their latest album, this song sounds more like their older stuff. A lot of the newer music is heavier (more X, less Symphony - LOL). I personally like the heavier tuff better, but it's all good. Based on your "best part of the song comment" you might enjoy the title track from this album, or try "Walls of Babylon" for some epic & heavy jams. The guitarist (Michael Romeo) has some solid solo stuff too - "Divide & Conquer" is a recent release.
That's funny, but you do know the X is the roman number 10 here, right? lol Just like how symphonic pieces used to have number designation? So technically they are Symphony 10, but called Symphony X
every high and low point in this song is in the midst of every other moment. it never gets high or low. it just stays mid. though the arrangement is perfectly done, it never becomes an epic. Symphony x always lauded themselves in that sphere. this will always be thought upon as just another well arranged mid song by symphony x. try harder Russell.

Symphony X the best band in the world 🇬🇧🤘
My personal favorite Symphony X album has got to be The Odyssey. The whole album is full of bangers.
Stratospheric band! ❤
My favourite band ever. I would recommend "To Hell and Back", "Of Sins and Shadows" and "The End of Innocence"

More Russell Allen please, and not just Symphony X. I'd like to see you react to Adrenaline Mob.
Good choice! Iconoclast isn't a fantastic album but this song is.
These guys and pagans mind and I'll add adagio and thy majestie are the best
