Been obsessed with Wicked since I watched it. One of the best show I've ever seen. I loved the cast and you Mary Kate and Alexandra are so talented, you are incredibles!
WARNING: the Maguire novel is cringe and cynical and ice cold and plodding and pretentious AF. The musical was written 99.99% by Maggie Holtzman, whose name needs to be brought up a lot more often!
I quite enjoyed the novel, actually. I think going from the musical to the novel always takes one by suprprise because they are so fundamentally different (and because the novel IS quite disturbing), but that doesn't make one worse than the other in my opinion. I love the musical but it could be equally criticized for toning down and romanticzing Maguire's political commentary. At the end of the day it's a matter of taste... :) (Also - perhaps that's a typo - but it's Winnie Holzman)
