I was addicted to drugs and alcohol when i was 15 and I remember listening to this song on an airplane to Florida and I finally opened my eyes and said never again. Tbh, Ben Bruce's beautiful vocals are what showed me that I can beat anything and conquer it! 3 years sober and I still listen to this song often. Thank you AA for showing me the purpose in life through your beautiful but brutal lyrics.

The more I think about it, the more I think this is my favorite Asking song. Those apocalyptic sounding string parts, the amazing chorus, Ben singing, everything about it is masterful.

They played this at Warped Tour yesterday...It was amazing. Danny told us all to get on our knees and then started the song with "Get off your knees, nothing changes when you pray." I can't even explain how epic it was to see the entire audience on their knees just because Danny told us to :D

I remember being obsessed with Danny and at 15/6 years old i started idolizing his life style, romanticizing drugs and drinking. I literally defined and represented reckless and relentless pretty fckin well.
Somehow I'm still alive and even more surprising is that I'm clean and sober. Ya know, they say music impacts us and sometimes not in a good way. That could very well be the case for teenage me but I don't blame any artists. At least I got to relate to them! And at least I made it to where I am. With a huge box of memories unlocked by this music. Thank you!

God its so nostalgic listening to this album again. 10-12 years ago AA was my favorite band. I listen to mainly jazz/classical now (complete 180 degree turn from this) but every now and then i put AA on and it always hits 🥲

wow i cant believe theres still people listening to this song. i was like 6 years old when this song came out, now im 15 years old so its been 9 years since first heard my favorite band. i know danny was going through a hard time im happy he has gotten better over the years. but morte et dabo will always be my favorite! to me its the metalcore sound that gets me. i remember i used to get chills whenever the song came on when i was like nine.

First time hearing the chorus of this song i was Ezio Auditore jumping from roof to roof on the good old city of Rome. The world was indeed ending and we had to choose between god and men. There has never been a most fulfilling video game experience in my life. It was an orgasmic force of beautifulness. I felt so whole. (I know the song is about Danny´s alcoholism but.. you know).
