- Best-of-3 series of StarCraft 2 between Has (Protoss) and ByuN (Terran). In this series Has decides to do Has things, as he focuses on an insane Protoss economy, going toe to toe versus ByuN in macro games. I guess we can call this economy cheese?

The theory behind no wall at all as toss vs terran is this. A normal wall at one of the ramps only hurts toss because terran has no melee units but toss does. As for the reaper jump location, it is mixed but the argument against is that ends up where the core gets placed which makes it vulnerable to being sniped
36:30 - Yes, that IS the lore-accurate answer, actually. To copy from the campaign description for the Orbital Depot update (not the supply depot hat, but the upgrade to construct them instantly):
"We can now call down supply depots straight from orbit due to our new understanding of protoss architecture. Key point joints have been added to the supply depot's structure, allowing the supply depot to survive the violent turbulence of breaking through an atmosphere. Now an SCV simply has to place a beacon, and the crew on the Hyperion will handle the rest."
Supply depots are "extra" minerals because MULEs only deplete mineral fields faster. You can also have your SCV mine the whole time instead of building if you use them.
Has is just a a wild card in my opinion, very much looking forward in all his games
I know Has is not the best SC2 player. But he plays the game exactly the way he wants, and he just has fun with it. I wouldn't change a thing.
Has is the type of guy that goes to the casino, says what he has at the poker table and goes all in. And somehow wins half the time.
He's IMO the most fun player in SC2, cause he doesn't give a f-ck what the other guys are really doing, he just wants to see if his alternative strats work, cause they're fun as hell

Winter has an excellent explanation of why reaper walls are a bad idea.
Byun also exploits reaperwalls constantly.

@@nahruz.w3044 Don't know where it is, but essentially what he does is he baits out colossi, and then drops into the main base. The colossus can't go up the wall and has to walk around there by cutting off part of the Protoss army.

Here are the facts:
-Zealots can also do a roll by (although it's not as elegant as the banelings)
-Mules and supply depos are dropped from orbit thanks to Amazon.
Did anyone else notice at 5:44 the zealot killed the widow mine that uncloaked to fire before it died to that very mine?
Amazing match, it was quite entertaining.
I just love macro cheese as it is a risky strategy for early game especially if you are trying to be as efficient as you can but if you survive long enough you can quickly turn the tide and overwhelm your opponent.
This volatility is why it is so fun to watch and Byun is really good in prodding its weaknesses which has kept me on the edge of my seat wondering whether Has is gonna flip it.
The Hyperion could be fighting the other races' capital ships, so he would be busy fighting as well

That 2nd game was def one of the highlights on DH Atlanta imo... I remember twitch chat laughing their ass off when he went for that charge rush into 2x forge after how the first game went...
The Jugglier is like the Joker but has a thing for veins and arteries ;)

Has gotta tighten up the game, but the second half of game 2 was just amazing
yeh theres just too many small mistakes that are really hurting him. Even the second game there were so many miss rallies and none probe movement, and sadly as much as i love disruptors, has killed sooooo many of his own units with them for some reason.
The extra supply fly from the Orbital CC to the space and fall like a missile in the deposit.

i am VERY far from being a pro player, but i have a theory for the supply depot hat:
a mule mines 200 minerals, but it still mines them, so they are not free, because you mine out faster. a supply drop however is totally free. it creates the value of 100 minerals out of thin air. and the lost mining time of an scv building a supply depot may also contribute to the decision. at 21sec build time plus a bit of walking time you lose maybe 20 or 25 minerals of mining.
so every depot hat gives you two more marines in the ultra lategame when the map is mined out. maybe trading off some growth acceleration for long term sustainability is worth it sometimes? 🤔

I think mules come from the same ship the first CC came from haha it probably is still in orbit but maybe just a transport or something not the hyperion

Oracle/ observor.. photoncannon... oracles two of them are great for utility detection like a mini terran scan ,but if it hits you have longer vision, plus it onyl generates value and can do many great things...
Observor has great observation and can be deployed so its like a static system.
I htink 2 phoenixes should be a minumum, its really good to ahve utlity units, becasue they are so handy... IE phoenix can lift a siege tank... fro mthe back while you run forward delaying or keeping medivacs away... with their 5+ bonus damage.. so ... its also times two. so they do liek 20 damage to a medivac on a 150 life pol... so 4 phoenixes cna wipe out terran drops really quickly... DT as edge spies for stopping early expansion since most humasn have hte same pattern of moving out, yo ucna sit on spying on expansions... better use of teh hold key, meh.

@Lowko: There is that tournament when BuyN raised to fame as he won, using reapers - can you tell me what was it, so I can google it and watch from start (hopefully the narators will be equally suprised with his play:) I would love to see that tournament, all of his games, from first to finale. Lowko I dont know these numbers but does it cost more in build time and pulling the scv to build the depo than the mule makes? If so that poses a theory towards build order cause it's more efficient in the early game

in wol with 6 probes i can remember it made a 2-3 second difference for a 6 pool id like to hear your answer xD

but no photon cannons in the mineral lines at least :p
Which would make him a Gold leaguer and lose very fast against someone like Byun lol. The build did work, but Has' map awareness and timings are pretty bad compared to top Protoss players.
@@hivetech4903 i wont judge his awareness or timings based off a single game, i feel like its too nitpicky; after all this is the only cast i've seen him do this build

Meh... Byun games always look the same to me. Its hard calling him a macro Terran - I guess he always does macro openers so its true in that sense, but his 3rd is always late, Armory is ALWAYS late and reluctant as he tries to micro his opponent to death lol.
