After this lesson, guitaristas became well equipped of compass structure and can save themselves palmas and dancers' dirty looks:) great lesson Sal. thx
You are great, Sal. Thank you very much for your lessons. You have been my first flamenco guitar teacher since 2008. I got a lot of positive emotions thanks to you. Incredibly happy for your comeback.
So glad I found your channel. I have a recent obsession with Flamenco guitar and find it difficult following most TH-cam lessons in Spanish. Great teacher!
Thank you SO much, Sal!!! You've taken away my excuse for not learning this tune :) Which is awesome ;) Do you consider writing a manual? Something like "In the Style of Sal Bonavita"?
@@hersoveela Sorry if I came off as awkward or impolite. I just wanted to express my gratitude in a humorous way. I meant to say it's very motivating to listen to a beautifully played tune and get the tab AND the tutorial within just a couple of days. Thank you for all your efforts, Sal. As for the manual, some of the manuals I happened to come across are actually collections of tunes arranged by difficulty: from easy through intermediate to advanced, sometimes with a line or two of advice and guidance. Anyway, that was just a random idea of mine. The way you share your skills, tunes and ideas is perfect, your channels and your website are great sources of invaluable information.
@@romanbouchouiev All good Roman. I thought you meant a guitar instruction method. I did put together a collection of 20 short student flamenco pieces for a publisher once, but they wanted a "how to" flamenco book. I'm glad they were never published. I was not happy with half of them anyway. The little rumba from 2006 was study no 3 and some of my "easy flamenco" videos pieces are from the same collection. Like I said, youtube is much easier and more fun. No pressure on me to meet someone else's standards. Thats the way I like it. I'm free to do my own thing.
I admit this piece is not a standard buleria and this video was not really intended to be a tutorial about how to learn the traditional Buleria. It is definitely a Buleria but I modified a classical guitar etude by Carcassi, which is why the key is Am rather than the standard flamenco A phrygian. It has 12 beat compas cycle but the accents are not a big feature of this particular solo. You're right. Could have been a bit clearer and I could have played it so accents stand out better, but the main thing is to maintain the 12 beat cycle and the general Buleria feel in this case. If you want to find out more about standard Buleria compas and how the accents work, may I suggest you check out Grisha's excellent video th-cam.com/video/VYZPQOr2iMc/w-d-xo.html
There's nothing like ethnic diversity. Actually I was born in Italy. I have been living in Australia for 68 years. That accounts for the accent. Thanks for watching.

Great lesson, I seem to understand the compa; it would have been clearer if all the accents were on the tab. I' try figuring it out.
