Lankeleisi X2000 Max review / review:
The little brother of the X3000 Max takes over a large number of its features, starting with the engine. With 2000 watts and a generous torque, this bike starts up immediately provided you use both motors and at least the third level of assistance. Below this level, the bike works very well but the sensations will not be the same. The 2000 watts quickly make you forget that this bike weighs 37 kg and as the motor is very interventionist, you will not often have to tire yourself pedaling.
I measured my heart rate on a route that I usually use for my bike tests and this Lankeleisi X2000 max is by far the one that required the least effort from me. The power is therefore not only useful for the sensations, it will allow you to do many kilometers without fatigue.
The motor is clearly a strength of this bike but I would not put this bike in everyone's hands. This bike is capable of accelerating from 0 to 25 in a few seconds and can go up to more than 45 km / h, so it is not a toy. Motor latency is also something to pay attention to because if you have to cross a street quickly, you might be surprised not to have all the power right away. It's the same in the other direction, if you stop pedaling, the motor will continue to assist you for a second or two. All this is not a problem or a fault of the bike but you have to be aware of it.
The folding frame is broadly similar to that of the X3000 Max but with a big difference in the adjustment of the saddle and handlebars. This bike is much more suitable for larger sizes than the X3000 Max, the seat tube is very long and the handlebars can also be adjusted in height. This is the first fat bike where I can ride with an almost straight leg. It is suitable for both small and large sizes.
The front suspension does its job well, the use of large tires also helps to absorb some of the shocks of the road. There is no shock absorber at the rear but if you ride on a good road, the lack of suspension should not be a problem. The suspension does not hit the frame when you turn, so you have a good turning radius. The handlebars are also narrower than the X3000 Max, the bike is generally quite agile for a bike of this type.
The handlebars are the same configuration as the X3000 Max and this is a good thing especially because the layout of the gear levers is really good. The only thing is that the screen is again difficult to read in bright light.
The autonomy will strongly depend on what you do with the bike and since this bike will undoubtedly encourage you to use its power, you will reduce your autonomy but not to the point of risking the battery dying after a few kilometers. By pushing the bike hard almost all the time, I was able to cover 50 km. By riding more normally you can reach 100 km which is almost an achievement for a bike of this weight and power.
The braking is effective if you use both brakes, it is even quite brutal because it is so powerful. The rear brake is too weak to be used alone.
This bike costs significantly less than the X3000 Max and this without having to make big sacrifices, so you have here a bike that will combine fun and utility for a much more affordable price!
    Strengths
    Power/Acceleration
    Autonomy
Suitable for small and large sizes
Less bulky thanks to the folding chassis
    Agile steering
    Narrower handlebars
    Smooth gear change
    Powerful braking (with both brakes)
    Weaknesses
    Readability of the screen
    Weakness of the rear brake
    Accessibility of the battery
    Battery charging time
Full acceleration only available from the 3rd level of assistance

its practically the same bike with x3000 max. the x3000 max is a little bit more modable, if u change the terrible rear shock with a good one. the x2000 max has a handle!! wich i find very helpfull for ppl like me who live on the 2nd floor without elevator. it is a more manageable, better folding ebike. and folding is a factor, as they are both foldable bikes. with an seat suspension it might feel better than 3000x max. x3000 max looks better for sure on eye test on the other side.
also, if we exclude the battery wich is different, mg740 has also the same specs bike exaclty. same mottors, controllers etc. and even if it is larger with the mountain frame and those 26'' wheels, it weights less. 34kg. x3000 and x2000 weights 37kg. the dark knight ebike has different, way bigger battery capacity, stronger controllers but its way heavier at 48kg. so u loose some of that power there. its not that spappy. if u have a garrage, it is manageable.
all those are lankeleisi bikes. lankeleisi is one of the good chinese brands on this ''off road'' category of ebikes. better than many, but not perfect of course. customer servise is questionable like every other ebike company from china, but the truth is that 2-3 times i contact them, they answered soon or later. though i didnt have any big issue to test them on a crisis, but they responded well enouph. so its questionable until i m proved wrong.
the truth is that those bikes are very very fun, and a little bit dangerous of u ride them at higher speeds of course. ppl cant hear u because its electric, and also in crouded places and roads, the cadense sensor is snappy, need to be carefull there. especially on dual mode.
all those are just thoughts, i hope someone find those helpfull.
if u have the minimum knowledge and some spare time here and there to maintain it, its a safe choice and a fun one. i believe if u dont tear it apart every time u ride it and test it to the limit, it can have some longevity too, with some relacements on the road of course. not something crazy, but it can have few good years b4 battery and mottors will need replacement.
    thats all from me.
    ride safely all

Thanks for your super feedback! You are right, many chinese bikes are basically using the same components (ex: bafang engines). Most of the brand only manufacture the frame and fit batteries and engines from the market.
Those bikes are indeed fun but they're not toys, you can hurt yourself pretty badly if you don't pay attention (mostly because of how easy it is to go fast).
This X2000 Max is more practical than the X3000 Max for the seating position, it's more suited for any size while the X3000 Max was a bit small for me.
