I remember I ended the last sentence of my miserable college physics tech report with “It is now my intention to play video games for several hours.” The Professor left a note saying “well deserved!”
I turned the Strong Bad paper in along with my actual paper (with an explanatory email beforehand) to my professor. He was fairly amused. I think I got a B+ on the actual paper.
@@medexamtoolscom Weird. I responded to this comment a little while ago with an explanation. But it’s not shown up. So here’s the short version: No, I’ve had this account name for over a decade.
Back in middle school, one of my classmates actually used this and the teacher asked if he was high or just stupid. My classmate responded with "was it because I didn't tape money on the back?" He was sent straight to the principles office.
This sbemail actually let you print the diagrams and English paper for yourself Needless to say, I got points taken off my 7th grade Englilsh paper for having an ‘eating batteries’ diagram at the end Meanwhile my buddy put ‘the yellow dart’ as his nickname and didn’t get any extra credit points! I think our teacher was a fraud
Nope. Just someone who would rather have you write some dumb dramatic shit. If ya did that, you probably would have gotten like 17 extra credit points.
I used to show this video to my Freshman Composition classes. Doing so save me hours of frustrating grading and wailing and gnashing of death of students with bad grades. Thanks Strongbad.
I like that he used e.g. for "for example". It is a common grammatical error to use "i.e." thinking it means "in example" when it actually means "id est", or "that is (to say)".
Funny thing. Microsoft Word doesn't recognize the triple-spacing in the .DOC file, so it assumes the first word of every line is a grammatical error. I always found that amusing.
Recently had a bit of a disagreement with someone, and he specifically said “I know I may have caused a stir or two.” Instantly in my mind, the first thing I thought was, “a stir indeed.” 😅
@@madsmari the voice overs were dvd additions. You can tell how Strong Bad's voice in the rest of the sbemail is circa 2003-2004 sounding, but the voiceover is a much later style.

W professor. Wish I had that in me!
I did this in College too, in my Java programming class. It popped up when you closed the app. I got a D+ in that class.
Jesus Christ, I printed that englilish paper out in 2006 and had my dad laughing so hard he started crying. Time flies, y'all.

@Will Kriss Hey hiya. I’ve been up to da U.P. a couple times, hey. Nice place to visit (in the summer).
I taught high school English and used this video as an introduction to research papers.

Which principle?
I think he means, "prinicpal".
Undeserved
He went to the principal to borrow some money. That way, he could, y’know, seal the deal.
I notice you said classmate and not friend

Gnashing of death is the most metal band name I've ever heard.
@@doingitwelldotbizEh, only one of those words starts with “De”. Your metal band name is all wrong!

I didn’t know that Strong Bad actually READ the Englilish paper in the Easter egg!!!! Awesome!!!!
I have no recollection of him reading it in the Easter egg, originally. They might have added that for TH-cam.
It's only on the DVD

yeah, the latin for 'for example' is actually "e.g." which stands for *exempli gratia*

Microsoft Word doesn't recognize the triple-spacing in the .DOC file, so it assumes the first word of every line is a grammatical error.

That is indeed quite humorous

Great email! Now it is my intention to sit down and play video games for several hours.
Turned in this paper complete with money taped to the final page. I didn't get an A.
Media: Strong Bad tells people to eat 5 batteries.
Of all the Sbmails I binged in the early 2000’s this was the most memorable.

I swear I saw a cartoon where part of something read "Or, as it were, caucuses"
Anyone know why this isn't on their official channel?
The correct thumbnail has been chosen.
"The Yellow Dart" is such a badass nickname!
That’s teeth. Shows spell checkers can’t always be trusted.
But I LIKE the plate!
“Jeez” yourself, Homestar!
A simple “yes” or “no” will do!
"This is all they're going to read before they give you a grade"
That's a resumé , Strong Bad.
I don't remember the end commentary or the ebay listing.
They were easter eggs. I think in the original flash cartoon you had to click on stuff to see them
