Apparently most of Italy didn’t care. According to Celentano, he did it to prove the Italian obsession with American pop and that people would choose a catchy rhythm over content.
My brother, who passed away last year, spent his last 20-25 years in Italy and really liked Celentano and Zucchero. Anyway he sent this to me about 6-7 years ago and I loved it. Every time I hear it, it sticks in my head for a while. Celantano found brilliance with this one, imitating how English sounded to most Italians. There IS another segment that he performs with Raffaella Carra that's danced in a Ballroom. Also BTW, never saw Fargo.

I heard about this song just recently from a friend. I can't stop listening! As a native English speaker, it actually sounds as if it means something. It reminds me of Elton John' and Bernie Taupin's "Solar Prestige A Gammon," which sounds Italian but is actually random English words mixed with gibberish with an Italian-sounding tune and arrangement.
