Judges and Lawyers are not exempted in the indulgence with sidechicks.

I’m shocked that the female lawyer on the panel defended the chauvinistic law in this case. If I remember this case correctly, it was a matter between a powerful boss and his subordinate employee. A classic case of sexual harassment on the job. She wasn’t a prostitute and didn’t initiate the relationship. It was her boss who put enormous pressure on her and made all these promises to her. It was either she acquiesced or quit her job. She chose the former based on the promises he made to her. Based on the arguments from the panel, it’s ok for a professor to demand sex from his female student in exchange for grades because the contract is immoral and it would be thrown out in court. This has little to do with your typical “side chick” arrangement and more to do with workplace harassment. That’s why women all over the world have and are still fighting for equality.

Francis, know that the lady in question was under no obligation to agree to the boss' request. She should or could have reported the boss to HR. Once she agreed to play ball with the boss, she ceased being a victim but an accomplice to an illegality. Thus any breach in an illegal contract cannot be cured by any court.
Extrapolate my position and apply it to the prof-student relationship you referred to. Once the student agrees, she's a party to an illegality. If the prof has sex with her and gives her F based on her academic work, no court can compel the prof to give the student an A.
It's important to note that in both situations, the bank and the university have internal mechanisms to deal with rogue bosses and professors who breach professional ethics and conduct.
