They are definitely less played ( at least in my trophy range ) but in the hands of a pro those xbow decks can even beat their “hard-counters”.
When I first saw this deck in your showcase of it from about a month ago I decided to give it a try in Electro Valley. Now I’m almost in Master 2 and still using this deck. Thank you for giving this deck some spotlight!
I’ve been playing X-Bow 2.9 for around 15 months non stop. Whether I play 2v2 or 1v1. I’ve improved so much but I still make silly little mistakes or miss clicks and it’s just game over from there. I have to keep studying these X-Bow videos and I know I’ll get there.
thank you ash, i'm 20 x-bows away from maxing it and i'm trying to get as much info as posible to atleast get to 6600, these videos are so helpful in many ways. just a lil thing that would help more could be if he gives like tips after every match for example "i placed my xbow on offense because i knew he used a 4 elixir card and couldn't cicle to another pekka" so little things like that would help much more. thank you!
Tysm for the xbow video. With all golem lightning, RG lightning and now the surprise return of splashyard with bowler, its pretty tough to play with. Im surprised Canon cart isn't as prevalant as I thought it would be. The things I always take away are the little interactions that Crafter, and Ganon and other xbow pros do that sets them apart from us above average xbow players. I just hit 6.6k trophies and top 6000 global so getting a xbow video is pretty helpful now lol
Definitely don't think xbow is dead. I play xbow tesla myself (only at 5600 though; I'm not crafter) and a lot of matchups considered difficult aren't really that hard once you figure 2.9 out. For sure, xbow is one of the highest skill cap decks out there. A slight buff (loading time decrease?) would really be appreciated.
I think you forget about the point that xbow in lower leagues faces much different and disperse decks that the top elite leagues. Its a very different breed. When you look at the top matches, these decks are basically regurgitated and the style is repeatable. In lower leagues, you'll find decks that try to juke you or sneak in a rocket or freeze. Ive noticed this myself.
I've played 2.9 for a year now and I can still have success with it, but every new meta you have to learn and play it dozens of times to win against it. But it does feel like almost every matchup is a hardcounter.(balloon cycle, golem, rg and rg cycle, I mean I can go on and on) but I can still win it's just tons of practice against the matchups to learn how to win

As a 2.9 player, 2.9 is definitely not dead but in some matchups the skill difference between you and your opponent needs to be significant in order for you to not lose
Hey Ash I wanted to see if you were ever able to inform Supercell of the chest unlock time glitch. It seems that the unlock timers reset occasionally and take way longer to unlock than they should.
I miss 3 musqies so much,i think i was great at them back in the day,and about siege,i just feel like its boring and i just don't like playing that,i like more beatdown and bridgespam,even bait or 2.6 hog.
ash is wrong about lighting against defensive xbow as the rg player. You want to rg at the back when they defensive xbow on your weak side tower and try to stack up two rgs
what were xbow's stats in crl?.. if i remember correctly it lost every match in crl west. what about the finals in china?... i think every deck is perfect with perfect gameplay. as an xbow player with 6.2K trophies i do feel that xbow doesn't have advantage against anything and needs a buff
ok, i checked the stats in royaleAPI, and xbow had a 1% use rate, in al off crl. 33 games total with 43% win rate. so atleast by this data, xbow needs a buff.
It looks like Crafter does not BM when you are recording. Because he always BMs with the laughing goblin emote when i spectate him. hahaha. He's a beast with xbow.

Muhammad Nuruddin Hog quake is definitely beatable. The problem is the amount of beatdown decks going around. Super cell is stupid as hell they been bugging Beatdown indirectly for the longest. Bunch of fucking morons that don’t play the game they’ve been doing this bull shit
Crafter makes playing the xbow look so easy !! this is an underrated classic meta deck but the skill required is high. This is insane gameplay man. I definitely understand your hype lol.
Yeah man as a leader of 2.9k clan ,we goes to legendary league in war lot of wins and always came last ,Cuz of unfair matchup ,how can 3k clan beat 10k+ war clan ,once we face 20k+ top war clan😂hopefully they will fix it soon
I made a record this weekend! Lost 550 Trophies(Went From 5600 to 5150) bc I kept getting destroyed by Mega Knight, Witch/Wizard, Hog Rider, Fireball/Lightning, and Golem...... Worst part is I used X Bow Deck(not like in the video), Royal Giant, and my final attempt with my Dead Log Bait Deck. 😆😆😫😫😢😢😭😭😵😵😵

pearl green x bow isn’t hard to play at all. It just has a couple difficult match ups but it isn’t super hard to play at all

As a hardcore lavaloon player, I find it very hard to play against witch golem i-drag. But, a siege opponent somehow is very easy matchup.

Watching from the spectators view is not the same as watching him play on his screen. Seeing what cards he has in hand makes a huge difference
