Aww... thanks for taking the time to comment as well. Your entire team's service from the lady at the office to the guy attending the bus and to the bus driver were all great on that day.
Excellent bus Daryl I didn't think of sleeper buses running during the day. I took the day sit up train from Hanoi to Hue and broke my journey for an overnight stay in Vinh. That made about 7 hours each day and boy was that train crowded. Made 2AC class in India look like luxury
Definitely sleeper bus. Do note that there are 2 tiers of sleeper buses too. One with 36 to 38 seater beds (3 rows) or the premium one with 21 to 23 seater beds (2 rows) which are wider and more comfortable. This one I took is a 23 seater version. Seat arrangements vary depending on the bus company and their respective bus layout design. Generally either 21 or 23 seaters are exactly the same as the 21 seater may accommodate an extra store room for example. Anyways happy travel Satwika!
Yes its quite a zigzag ride either uphill or downhill but the driver was careful although I wouldn't exactly say it was slow. Hence it is important to get a reputable bus company with solid reviews. Happy travels Michelle!
Hello, Greeting from PJ. Thanks for posting this video. It gives idea how it feels riding on bus from Sapa to Hanoi. May I ask you how you booked the bus and train ticket to Sapa? Planning to go there this month. Thanks and all the best on your channel
Most welcome Andry and thanks for the words of encouragement. I went through a very good travel agency (owner is a close friend as he was our tour guide from our initial visit to Hanoi back in 2014) from Hanoi. If you are keen, please reach out to him (Alex) at: www.nomnomtravel.com/contact-us
If you can easily sleep and don't mind leaving late at night, then the train is good because they will be no stops along the way. Bus is more private with 2 stops along the way which is better for morning or afternoon journeys.
thank you! am a light sleeper but i think train will be a better choice to travel at night. might not able to sleep if taking bus because of the 2 stops 😂
Yes it was and the driver was not overly speeding or at least I didn't felt he was. Furthermore they are used to have longer rest stops because to give the driver a rest.
Great question sis. Actually I pre-downloaded them when I was at the hotel (using hotel wifi) and watched them without the need for data. That being said, Vietnam's mobile data coverage is crazy good.
Hey Daryl. I'll be in Sapa this time next month and coincidentally my trekking guide recommended Sapa Express. Do you know if they have other timing for the cabin bus from Sapa to Hanoi? Ideally would prefer to leave Sapa in the morning and spend more time in Hanoi before flying off the next day.
Hey Daxter, thanks for stopping by. For Sapa Express heading back to Hanoi, I recall they only have 2 options: Departure from Sapa (both from same office in Sapa town) 2:00PM = Sleeper Bus (24 cabins) 3:00PM = Soft Seat Bus (28 seater) I suggest you try G8 OPEN TOUR for their sleeper bus too which depart Sapa at 8:30AM (arrive Hanoi at 2:30PM). Their official website is: g8opentour.vn/ Happy travels bro and have a great time there!
It makes no sense riding on a sleeper bus doing a daytime run (when you are likely to be awake the whole duration) because you can't even sit upright properly to do anything else other than to lie down to sleep. OK for nighttime run, but daytime, I'd much rather ride on a bus with regular seats.
Hi Ms Brown, you make a good point there. In my case, since I never experienced a sleeper bus before this trip to Sapa, I just wanted to try it and since the trip took a little over 6hours, I thought the privacy of the space may be a better idea since I am recording afterall. But for shorter trips, yeah I agree with just taking a regular bus.
Thank you for experiencing our bus. Sapa Express hopes to serve you next time. See you again!! ❤❤

@@WanderEats Next time you can experience Sapa Express's 28-seat economy class car. Economy cars may also appeal to you
That was great Daryl 🤗 The bus looked very clean and comfortable. We’ve been on the overnight sleeper trains in Vietnam but not the buses. We ❤ Hanoi!
@@quocbaopham2179 ooo.. I would love that. Do you have a link to that bus or car?
@@BethandPaultravel yeah Hanoi has a special place in my heart too :)

This is so helpful and informative video,I’m also traveling in Hanoi by November
Awesome to hear as Hanoi remains one of my fav cities with her history and charms.
we've never tried a sleeper bus before, hope to ride one soon ❣
From what I heard, you guys can even try the dual sleeper seat :)
❤
Appreciate the support Kris!

Hi! Is the ride dizzying because it's zigzag from Sapa? do they drive fast on the zigzag road?

Did the bus ride to and from Sapa feel safe?
Yes it was and the driver was not overly speeding or at least I didn't felt he was. Furthermore they are used to have longer rest stops because to give the driver a rest.
Do u use pocket wifi ? For watching netflix on the bus? Or cellular data from ur country?
