Review of the Umarex Legends: Makarov
1st half of the video is the review and some warnings/tips, and
the 2nd half is a video compilation of some firing and object penetration testing :)

Damn I just wanted to say this was a very good review. It is full of information and you are very easy to follow. I also appreciate the captions, and it adds to the video.
if i have makarov 4.5 cal can i use pellet instead of use bb?

I like this little gun but I have a Crosman PMF16 which is a similar style of C02 pistol. In fact the C02 cartridge loads exactly the same way in the handle. Nice review.
The thing you thought was the magazine release is the slide lock. The magazine release on the bottom is where it should be on the original. (I think)

Wow that's actually a strange spot. I looked at the real Makarov in pics but I did not notice that. I have to look again. I'm curious now as to how it works.
@@replicagunreviews8922 it's kind of hidden, it's a very simple system as you move a switch to release it, it's kept in by tension
Heel magazine releases were once very common due to being cheap, as well as being on several popular commercial pistols like the FN 1900, and Colt 1903 pocket hammerless. Button magazine releases started appearing on things like the Borchardt C93 and the subsequent improvement the Luger P08. Typically nowadays in North America, the heel release is commonly referred to as the "European" style.
Man, awesome detailed review/rundown of this gun. Most of the videos I seen on it are not really knowledgeable about the ballistics/details. Thanks, for sure getting this model since the blowback is always sold out lol

The one Amazon sells/lists is the Mk1 model, which is all plastic (ridged, but plastic) and non-blowback but higher velocity. It may list that one, but the one you get will 94% be the Mk1, and that has a hex bolt, not a tab. Just fyi

Ummarex does not sell additional mags for this model. Lost mine & can't get mag replacement.
The co2 can go in with the grip not completely off, you have to stick the top of the co2 in like past halfway down the opening tho for the geometry to line up.

Umarex Makarov ultra has blowback but not this model
There is a more expensive version that has blowback, Amazon must've confused the two at the time

Yup all metal. Every toggle, the hammer and the trigger is metal. The slide and body are metal too!
If you are interested in the umarex legends guns all of them are totally solid. You will not be dissapointed. I'd put money on you being happy with it lol. Forreal though.

I'm tired of ppl not knowing WTF they're talking about, Soviet and Russian, 2 entirely different things.
sup, I'm from Texas and collect soviet milsurp. my EDC is actually a bulgarian makarov. I can clear up a few things.
1) that's the slide stop, not the mag release. the real makarov has a euro style heel release. the safety is in the correct place.
2) the mak is SA/DA. racking the slide also cocks the hammer. the slide also recocks the gun upon firing.
