Also you can use a shrinker/stretcher to shrink those waves on the edges and an english wheel to smooth out your rough shaping on the bag.

So I am interested in this type of work. I'd like to know if getting an everlast mig welder with pulse will help me weld sheet metal with less distortion without having to spot weld frequently without pulse.

Interesting video, but dont see much shrinking going on, looks like you are hammering out a cuve, not shrinking one in, nice looking work, just not the process described, if it really is shrunk the cross section will be the same or less than the original, hope you have more accuracey in your instruction now that you are instructing for the sake of your students, but once again nice looking piece.

@johnnyrock2000 yes what he did here was stretch the metal.. He explained how to shrink it but did not shrink it .. He elastic stretched the metal.. Had he captured the tuck and hammered it side to side in on itself instead of flattening it out he would be shrinking. Check out wray schelin videos on here.. Much better example of shrinking

very cool, I wish I knew about using a wooden log with a divit and a hammer before I went crazy trying to shape a sheet for my cars floor. I got it ruff enough to keep the water out but it looks like crap. someday I got to make a proper patch for it, this video gets me that much closer. thanks

I've got to get me one of those machines. It would complement my everlast welder when taking on fabrication jobs.

Wow that is a old video of me. I forgot Terry did this. My skill level is much better now and odly enough I am a instructor at a college in Kelowna that teaches this stuff. Funny where life brings you.
