Otto. I was the manager of The Blitz Boys. There was only one original pressing and a reissue last year on Sing Sing Records (New York). The original pressing had the photocopied wrap around sleeve becuase we got that done for nothing as we couldn't afford to pay for a proper picture sleeve. Eddie wasn't based on anyone. The "Eddie's friend" line at the end of that song was added at the studio and the track then named accordingly. Thanks for buying the record - only 500 originals.
Still have the original vinyl 7" of "Eddie's New Shoes" (my copy is probably a slightly later pressing?) This is a single with enduring appeal; my only quibble with the lyric of "She Told My Friends" being that (from my personal experience) it's generally the guy who's too shy to talk to the girl! If any of the band are reading this: were Eddie and his best mate based on people you knew?
