Mrs Coulter & The Golden Monkey | So Far

Mrs Coulter and her dæmon...such a complicated and complex relationship.
So much self-loathing and self-harm. The fact that Mrs Coulter thinks she deserves all that pain is utterly heartbreaking.
The way they reunite and accept each other in 3x06 is so beautiful. We're so lucky their relationship was explored a lot deeper than in the books. The show was made so much stronger for it.
Ruth put absolutely everything into her scenes with monkey, and it's always extraordinary to see how much emotion they were able to express on monkey's face. Thank you to Brian Fisher for everything he did to bring a real life presence to monkey with puppeteering and vocalisations.
Mrs Coulter and monkey will always have a special place in my heart.
