We are long time annual pass holders at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in Virginia. It is the closest theme park to our home - and it is a beautiful park with lots of fun rides and shows. But we have always wondered what the other Busch Gardens in Tampa, Florida is like. So on a recent visit to Orlando, we took a side trip over to Tampa to check it out. In the video, we discuss our first impressions of the park's theming, animal exhibits, rides and attractions. And we will let you know if we think this park is as good as Busch Gardens Williamsburg. We enjoyed the "other" Busch Gardens tour, Alice and Jack. I don't drink anymore, but I think back to the original Busch Gardens. I'd go to the one in LA when I lived out there. Not much other than a brewery tour and some lovely gardens outside. But the gardens included all the free Budweiser you could drink! 😵I had no problem with that! So much more today and some great family fun. We enjoyed seeing the exotic animals, but we've talked about that before. The food looked great and loved your tour!

Awesome opening shot! I didn't realize Williamsburg is a different theming! I have always loved Big Bird too but never seen him! I loved hearing all the similarities and differences! We'll be back at the Tampa one on Sunday to see all the new summer stuff they have going on :)
Excellent video, overview of Busch Gardens Tampa, and comparison to Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I have not been to the Williamsburg location, but hear people rave about it all the time.
We go to the Tampa location several times per year. They were my #1 Christmas event out of all the theme parks, except for the food, which was abysmal. They won on lights alone.

We love Busch Gardens Tampa but have never been to Williamsburg...it's on our 'to do' list though. We fed a giraffe last time we were there and loved it! It was interesting to hear the similarities and differences, especially the theming . You got to meet big bird!! Honestly, I think we'll love both. Thanks for sharing!

Fun Fact: Busch Gardens orignially had 4 parks which were themed to the different continents. Williamsburg covers Europe. Tampa covers Africa. Houston was themed to Asia. Lastly was Van Nuys, which focused on South America.
I've never been to Busch Gardens although it's always been on my list. That little train ride is always a good way to get to know the park! I'm not really a coaster guy so that wouldn't be for me lol.. but cool to see regardless.. lunch looked good too, saw plenty of animals. Nice tour guys!

Right? I haven’t ever ridden huge “thrill” rides like my husband enjoys but just looking at them, I think I would be in terrible shape if I ever did try them out. I had a great time checking out all the animals though. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Busch Gardens looks so fun! Awesome alternative to Disneyworld in florida. The iconic disney characters and movies really set it apart from the other theme parks. It's been decades since I've been to Busch gardens.
Disney definitely is king of the theme parks. But people who enjoy thrill rides would have more fun at Busch Gardens. I love that there are so many great theme park options in Florida. Thanks for watching - and for taking the time to comment!

So it's kind of like Animal Kingdom but with more animals and probably better rides! I'm honestly shocked they have something like this in Tampa! You would think Disney and Universal (and LegoLand for that matter) would take up most of the amusement park dollars in that area!
I like BGW better because it is larger and I dont feel so claustaphoibic. LIKE 5. 👍👍👍

Yes! I am glad I got to see Big Bird too. My five year old self would have thought that was awesome. There are a lot of similarities and differences between the two parks. Both are great. I use to go to Busch Gardens when there was one in Southern California. But they didn't have rides.
The only reason we went to this park was because of your video at your home park. The Sesame Street section was perfect for Rosalie. We made sure to see Cookie Monster. Addison and Melissa did the coasters and Rosalie and I did kids ride and animal sections. You guys saw so many animals while there. Thanks for taking us around.

Busch Gardens Tampa is a great park! We visited it back in 2022 and had a great time. Our favorite coasters there are Iron Gwazi, Montu, and Cheetah Hunt. Unfortunately Kumba was closed when we went. We also visited Busch Gardens Williamsburg and enjoyed that as well. I would probably have to visit both parks again to decide on a favorite. One thing Becca and I really like about those parks, as well as the Sea World parks, is that they allow filming on ride. ~Jonathan
