I know how you feel brother, I'll never forget years ago like yeah 10 or 12 years ago while taking my buddy to his Parole officer in Danville, KY. This guy pulls up on the side walk with this crazy looking dropped low no plastics except for battery box bike fully custom paint, I was like dude what is this thing, even though it had honda on it for me this wasn't no typical bike. Dirt or street bike
I'd seen before. Mopeds were for you know
For older more dorky types but this thing was sick and I wanted in the dork club after he said it's a moped. I finally got a used one 2 years ago and my 2nd one I built from ground up myself. It's awesome hearing you're enthusiasm towards your dream coming true so I hope you stay humble as you are friend in knowing how awesome u are for making a dream come true, it took years but look at the Appreciation you have something that someone who got everything they were wanted right there in there could never feel or have! to me that's worth it in the end but I know how you feel

Dorbyworks starts at $10K and this bike was on Craigslist Sacramento at the beginning of the year for only $4K! Right before this video was posted. Deal of the year!

I got clips at the end. Didnt get a chance to make POV vids lol it broke down on me. Hope to have it running soon though.

Add the medium loctite so the screws & bolts don’t back out.
Only thing missing is foot pegs near the front. Definitely would be better for a taller rider such as yourself

Custom one from Dorby starts out at 10k. Nice build but the gy6 motors are actual throw away Motors, cheapest thing on the bike. They last but not forever. Your paying for mods.

I would have spent the money on a Harley Iron 883 with custom paint on the tank, fenders, and side panels, and a nice sounding exhaust. You'd have a real bike that could take you anywhere and sound a lot better than that thing.
Not a Harley fan... rather buy a Ducati Panigale.
This is a scooter. I'll never understand why people try to make them faster. You would have to be nuts to go on the highway.
You're legs are crapping cuz you're rider pegs are gone. As for hot rodding out the motor it also cuts the life down to a 1/4. I'm also guessing you have the rev limiter disconnected ... keep in mind over revin' will blow your motor too. It's a scooter you just cruse with it. It's not made for speed.
what did it cost to build it? i just bought one to do the same thing but in my area there isnt many who tune or mod them and really been wanting to do one for years that is why i just got one as of this July 4th...it already looks like it has a low seat and stretched.
Looks very uncomfortable....your knees are up in yer chest.....its sharp though.

When you find a loose bolt take it out put some blue glue on the threads and put it back in , problem solved, it wouldn't hurt to buy some assorted lock washers too, beautiful bike man 👍🏆.

all honda rukus are 150cc not 50cc

How come it only does 60 (mph?) with 171cc ? Something not running right there. My 125cc Honda scoot will comfortably do that.
What's the site to order different wheels for the 150cc maddog?
Not 100% if these wheels will fit on a maddog but if theyre the same hit up Dorbyworks on IG! He can help you out.
150 maddogs have a manufacturer type rear hub adapter for the maddog wheels. A universal rear hub adapter will allow you to utilize aftermarket gy6 wheels/rims. Dorbyworks, Ruck shop, Machinemachined, etc...all carry wheels. Keep in mind the type of bolt pattern and stud size when purchasing these components to make sure they match. Good luck!
All tricked out now from 150 to 171 . It's a wonder if it's going to get 10 miles at 60 mph my friend. That's a lot of thin metal with a lot of pressure on the drive chain

Be careful advertising that you don’t need a motorcycle license to ride it on the street. Where I’m from? Anything 50cc and up requires a motorcycle endorsement, insurance, and plates. That’s why it’s so common to see mopeds advertise a 49cc motor.

Yes they start at $10k and go up. Best to just build it yourself unless you wanna pay way to much.

I'm really tempted to buy on so I can ride around in Fresno I'm stuck between that one or an icebear maddog. I'm having a hard time figuring out what one I'm wanting to get. what made you decide on that one compared to getting a icebear?
Id say ive always wanted a Honda ruckus & nothing else if it was a scooter. Basically been locked in on getting a Ruckus since being a kid! Im not too sure about the differences but just personal preference!
Also, forgot to add! Aftermarket support is insane on Honda ruckus!

Yes you need a driver's license. Not a motorcycle license.
