This is my biggest fear as a mother and I feel sorry for you and your daughter 🥺🥺 this is exactly why I’ve been single for close to 10 years and yet I’m still very young too… you will not see a person’s true color until after marrying them, behind closed doors… 😓😥
I’ve been single for over 20 plus years. I will never regret. The only regret I will have is when my child’s life is ruined.
The right thing to do is stay single in order to protect your children. Wish you ladies good luck and stay strong.
Family members should stop attacking the victims. It's not the victims fault. It's your son/brother's fault. Too many of these stories are being shoved under the rug in our community.
I work in Child Protective Services and I see this type of stories too often. I still am in shock every time I hear stories like this especially within our Hmong communities. I’m happy that you protected your daughter. I hope your daughter over come this tragedy and I hope she is doing well and better. Please get the help (counseling) needed for her.

I feel so sad for your daughter. I understand how she feels. I am extremely uncomfortable around older men too. I am glad you decide not to get remarried after that incident. Yes, as a mother, we are supposed to protect our children and I am proud that you stood by your daughter no matter what. I hope she finds healing and hope.

I cannot stand families who support their family member who’s at fault. They all should get some kind of punishment as well for supporting a guilty person
Hmong families they will always support their son even if he committed the crime. This I hate most. For example; my husband and his brother got into an altercation and the brother took out a gun and pointed at my husband in front of my two kids. He call the police but he don’t want to press charge -and don’t even want to prosecute his half brother at all. He don’t even want to go to court.
I'm glad to hear that you took your daughter's side and protected her. Your new husband is an awful person. He deserves his punishment. It's true what you said if the person loves you, they will never hurt your kids. I am so happy that you decided to turn to God. God is good all the time.! May he comfort and walk beside you through the rest of you and your kids days.

I'm so sorry for your daughter! What your husband did was wrong and disgusting! He is where he belong and I hope he never gets out. Ladies, if you have a young daughter be watchful of the men around her. I'm not saying every man will do her harm, but you just never know. If I have a daughter and have no husband, I would never remarry until she's of age and can be on her own. I wish more people would put their kids first before their own. Also, your in-laws are disgusting for defending him and your first husband is a loser. Like most selfish Hmong men, he abandoned his kids and responsibilities as a father. You are a strong woman and continue to protect your children. I hope your daughter gets the counseling she needs to move forward from this.

Being a hmong girl....as a child my mom taught us all the red flags, what to do, what not to do when it comes to other men and even my own biological father. She's implemented these into our heads we can protect ourselves from any evil men with bad intententions. All mothers should teach these to their kids, regardless of gender or age.

But as a Christian we have to forgive in order for you n your daughter to have peace n joy again u both have to forgive him what he has done to u n her especially her... u say u trust God completely but seems like u n your daughter still hold grudges against him n your daughter seems to hold grudges about just every man she sees she needs to let go n put God in her faith n learn to see that not every man will harm her. Despite being a son or daughter, children are still possibly subjected to becoming victims of abuse. It is the duty of the parents and the community as a whole to protect these young children and help them grow up to become healthy adults. Protect children at all cost whether it is a son or a daughter. They don't deserve to experience such traumas that will scar them for life.

This is such a heartbreaking story. Poor daughter and mother. The daughter is traumatized for life and the mother gave up on love, all because of a selfish worthless bastard who only cared about his sexual desires. His family is still trying to get revenge til' this day because they are messed up in the head just like him.
The mil even curse the mother and daughter. If it's a true story, I hope the mil lives to see her cursing words come back to hunt her family. I wonder why they did not do a paternity test to confirm the rape.

I’m glad you got your daughter out from that evil monster. If you turn blind eye he’ll go after your younger daughter too. It’s ok being single as long as you can protect them.
