Yeah it's actually a technique from 1897 called "sprechgesang." It became decently popular in pop/punk in 1960s, and now is reemerging again more recently. It's very interesting.

This band, few years ago, were dynamite. Something now has to be said for the constant new songs. They've completely oversaturated themselves with release after release. Clear as day they started against the man and now they're working for the man. All the lyrics and tracks have become super diluted and just repeat the same messages. Lost their political aggressiveness and just sing about 9-5 or escapism. Clear they don't even write the songs either anymore. Just another fake left field band being pushed by another record label. Definition of sell outs.
Pure shite to be honest and if you're reading my comment and not questioning their agenda. Give your head a wobble. When's the last time you've seen any band push out an album, then bang out as many EPs and singles these guys have straight after. Sell-out has beens. Their fan base will have shifted dynamic from real punks to now posers who just want to listen to anything except pop.
